The crowd only chants yes/no when Bryan is in the ring. For a while the crowd was using it for other wrestlers or segments (Sheamus, Del Rio, and AJ leeched off his phrase). But now the crowd uses it exclusively for Bryan and Bryan alone.

Santino Marella yet I'm not going to start stupid conversations trying to compare him to Hulk Hogan as the GOAT.
If Santino was a contender for one of the best inring wrestlers ever and had main event storylines, title runs, and a character that you could simultaneously take seriously as opposed to just a comedic character, than it wouldn't be crazy to say Santino could be in the top 20 of all time. But Bryan/Santino as a comparison does not work. I said it before and I'll say it again, Bryan is more like an early Kurt Angle. I think they were really in the same ballpark when it comes to mic skills and crowd control. For the poster that said RVD, were you smoking when you wrote that? Some of RVD's pot? Cite one stand-alone promo where RVD had the crowd in his hands (and no making them pop for his moves doesn't count).

He's not the best but he's one of the best. In any event the WWE got themselves a real winner in Bryan. Great wrestler, great at working the crowd and a great entertainer.

Those are Jack Swagger level accomplishments, not Cena and Edge level accomplishments. Nobody else around the level he's at is anywhere near the level of over he is. I don't think Cena and Edge were as over as Bryan when they were in the midcard, maybe Cena when he blinged out the US title but that's debateable. I don't like Bryan but he's absurdly popular to a level that's nearly impossible given that he's a midcarder who consistently loses.
You make the mistake to think that only titles are needed for that. Beside D-B being in the title picture for almost a year now (WHC title, WWE title, TagTeam title), not always winning but being in it.

Road Dogg was more over with the fans with being less in the main events. what does that say?

6/27/11 is same important as 6/23/96

A legend never dies: June 18, 1962 - June 13, 2009

Not removing until:
[] Shelton Benjamin makes a comeback
[] Charlie Haas makes a comeback
[] Kenny Dykstra makes a comeback
[] Raw makes again a 6.5 or even a higher rating
[] John Morrison becomes WWE champion
[] CM Punk wins Royal Rumble
[] CM Punk and Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania in an iron man match (and so creating epic stuff as e.g. misawa and kawada did in their matches)
[] WWE pays tribute to Mitsuharu Misawa

Punk holding the title for 434 days was epic. it was the greatest reign in the history of wrestling (but not the way the reign ended):
4-3-4
4-3-4
4-3-4

Give me an honest answer, If Bryan quits WWE today, will the Yes/No chants stop?
Yeah it will, 90% of the chants take place only when Bryan is in the ring/or backstage. You'd be blind and deaf if you can't admit that.

Although I despise how over-rated Bryan is on here, Jammy is correct in saying a majority of the chants are only when Bryan is in the ring/on screen.

As for the poll, no. There have been more since Rock that have been better working the crowd than Bryan. However Rock remains the best pure mic-worker to this day.

The chant itself has taken a life of its own, before it Bryan was not getting half as big a reaction, which he should be getting if he could always and truly "work the crowd" (And I have been a fan of his since roughly early 2011 in WWE).

Sorry your argument doesn't make sense, everybody takes a while to get over. I think it is a bit premature to judge Bryan, let's wait and see.
