Default Was Smackdown ever the flagship show of WWF/WWE?

I'm wondering if during the brand split if Smackdown was actually ever the flagship show of WWE over Raw?

The main event of Wrestlemania 19 was the Smackdown main event- Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle.

Also the main event of Wrestlemania 24 was the Smackdown main event- Undertaker vs. Edge.

Also during the initial draft The Rock was drafted to Smackdown and he was the biggest star in the WWF/WWE at the time.

Could the time line of flagship show for WWF/WWE look like this:

Championship Wrestling: ??? - 1986

Superstars of Wrestling: 1986 - 1993

Raw: 1993 - 2002

Smackdown: 2002 - 2003

Raw: 2003 - 2007

Smackdown: 2007- 2008

Raw: 2008 - Present

I dunno I was just thinking if there was ever a time that WWE protrayed Smackdown as their most important show.

I don't think so, ever..

I also never thought of Superstars as their main show.

Regardless of how bad it was during some seasons I still felt like TNT and Prime Time were the flagship shows.

It was never the main show but before the Brand Extension it was on equal footing to Raw.

No and the reason the Rock was put on SD was to get people to watch since Raw was the flag ship show

No.... I'd say the Flag Ship shows were probably TNT and Prime Time Wrestling and I'd probably include SNME

Also when Smackdown first start it was probably on equal footing as RAW. But RAW was in a Ratings WAR and Smackdown wasn't. If there was no ratings War I think Smackdown would have been the #1 show

No, Smackdown was NEVER the flagship show. As others have stated, the WWE tried very hard to place Smackdown on an even level with Raw when the brand split first started, but I never viewed it as such. It was always the B show to me.

When Rock and/or Undertaker (as a fully active superstar) were smackdown exclusives maybe.

There was that period in 2002-2003 where Smackdown was the better show, but it was never the flagship. This was one of the fundamental problems with the Brand Split.

When Cena got drafted to Raw in 2005, it was all over for there to be any chance of that happening.
