What was that? xD some kind of payback? I always was a honest hater of Sheamus I never hide that he could get released and I would mark for that , since he debuted I never liked him funny thing hes more bearable to me as a face than when he was heel, but still

remember its easier to get people to hate you than to like you.

Who say that? Jericho?, I hate how everyone take that stupid quote like some kind of universal truth.
Like expected you completely missed the point. You said haters gonna hate implying that i'm a hater of Del Rio, i'm anything but. I came up with decent points about Del Rio of which you could not counter in any way, shape or form. Where as your criticism of Sheamus is not well thought out, it isn't decent or valid points and neither is it a well reasoned or constructive argument, you simply spout crap like he sucks or he is boring without giving any real reasons. I'm saying this as a guy who isn't really a fan of Sheamus either. Whatever though I wont clog up this thread with a silly back and fourth between us, lets just say you enjoy Del Rio's work atm and I don't. Although I will give his face turn a chance and give him some time to change my view of him.

Del Rio impressed me in his World Heavyweight title match with the Big Show on Smackdown but I'm not going to jump on his bandwagon just yet. Hopefully his babyface run will continue to become more compelling and more consistent. If he works on his mic skills a little bit more, he'll do great as a face.

Oh mother of god why some of you act so much like heels doing a fucking smartass promo xD, this was your comment.

''Agreed that Hispanic audiendce is a big part of wrestling. Tell me why Del Rio has come out to crickets for 99% of his career though and don't tell me it's because he was a heel.''

I did a hate bro comment and you go ballistic with things like :

remember its easier to get people to hate you than to like you.

As facts so in your mind is impossible that he can't get a reaction as a face e_e.. I already explained to you I live here on Mexico ADR had a good career as a face, but again you people only care of what happen on WWE,Sheamus well, promos being unbearable, superman booking and his new comedian antics are more than enough valid points for me to dislike a wrestler.

Whatever though I wont clog up this thread

As you wish.

LOL Obvious ADR hater, obviously you wont admit you are one. Anyone can like and dislike any wrestler they like but at least have the balls to admit you are a hater, you shawn morrison and some others just come to bash the guy, putting all the blame on him, now im wondering if you will ever really give him a chance or you're using to end an argument, ADR is a hard worker guy and a talented individual, in fact he has been in the business less time since most of the current wrestlers but is one of the most talented(he was busy with his architecture studies, grecoroman and MMA so wrestling is the last thing that ADR is doing), his heel run was ok for me but it had no direction and bad booking that IMO its nowhere his fault, you always look at him and he tried to use the tools that they gave him, but they didnt work, now as a face is obvious that he is a likeable character, but haters/people , even without reading that he got a reaction similar to the rock or even skipped the match, then come here and bash a guy telling he was not over it was edited and that is because it was the latino crowd, it could be truth and it was a latino crowd, but its kinda sad that some people here spent smackdown main event counting how many latinos where in the building than actually watching the match

He should've been a face all along. His mannerisms, the way he talks; hell, even the way he wrestles is more face than heel. That being said, they ready did a shit job on his turn. Turns should be a big deal (if they involve champions or former champions). Del Rio was given almost no reason to turn face, which means he'll have to work a lot harder to get the crowd behind him.

Turning him face is one brilliant move. The match was solid, the crowd was epic, the emotion was heart filling. Del Rio has the potential to be one of the biggest baby faces the WWE has seen in recent years. I just hope they don't ruin his title reign by making Ziggler cash in too early.

I think they have a hot feud on their hands with Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio in 2013. If it's not then it should be the future feud. Forget Sheamus or Heel Orton,I have this feeling that Ziggler vs. Del Rio for the World Title could be the feud that helps Smackdown.

My first post on the forum, so hi guys. I was swayed to sign up, really, by some of the abuse Del Rio was getting and I want to defend him a little and show my own opinion a little.

I am hispanic... and I've liked Alberto Del Rio even since his days in CMLL as Dos Caras, I was excited to see him and Mistico come to WWE. It was unsurprising WWE chose to package Del Rio as a heel as I believe I read an interview with him which stated he wanted to give it a shot and towards the end of his run with CMLL he worked as a rudo. I found his new choice of gimmick strange but loved the character since he debuted, I was disappointed with the way WWE treated him though, I felt they pushed him way too quickly and - a lot like Sheamus - he was shoved down our throats, I do not feel he really did enough to become a hated heel and as such the crowd were often quiet during his matches.

His face build up and this title win have been fantastic, in my opinion. I am surprised anybody is saying that the crowd are not behind him, the reaction the past few weeks (albeit I've only watched on TV although you can still visibly see the reaction) has been amazing and the title win actually felt like it meant something. Perhaps he is a transitional champion but that title win was one of the most memorable moments in recent history, I was genuinely shocked when he won it though I felt it was a little unfair on Big Show (I thought his recent run was actually working quite well). The fact it was on a regular Smackdown amplified the victory somewhat but only because I was totally thrown by the result of the match - I thankfully did not have the result spoilt for me by WWE beforehand, which probably helped.

As for people saying it was stupid that after 3 attempts Sheamus could not win and Del Rio did it first time, well, remember that it was not technically a clean victory. Rodríguez lowered Del Rio's foot to stop the 10 count after the knock out punch.

Rodríguez is a genius, inside and out of the ring. The whole being bullied and defended by Del Rio gimmick is really working, though it cannot last forever so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I feel they could really have something (even after Del Rio inevitably and probably abruptly loses the title) with Del Rio training his ring announcer to become a wrestler himself.

I think Del Rio, overall, is a great performer and athlete who does not lack charisma at all and his reaction after that title win actually restored some integrity and emotion to the belt which has really been lacking. I just pray they do not take his character the Cena/Sheamus route of being a stale, jokey face. He needs to incorporate some heel elements still and come off as a "badass" while pandering to the crowd (with Rodríguez, I guess, being the catalyst).

I've always liked adr but always got bored of him, i didn't expect much from his face turn but hes been good so far. I also liked it on raw when he shouted at big show "let meeee seee your faaaace" before delivering a kick to the face

He would be better if he had some sort of back story as to why he's so rich and can afford a different $200k car for every match.

Back in the attitude era this guy could of been a mexican drug cartel but obviously PG is among us, Maybe he's an illegal exporter of John Cena T-shirts or Brodus Clay action figures? DEM MEXICANS
