Re: WWE Boom and Modern Day Culture

The big boom is going to have to come from that big star that transcends wrestling itself and shifts into the mainstream. The Rock n Wrestling and Attitude Eras had just those people. People...

Re: Your Favorite Macho Man Matches/Segments

Savage vs. George Steele was a pretty underrated feud also. Steele was in love with Elizabeth and the Macho Man going just completely ballistic as a result. Even though there was no shot of Steele...

Re: Why Sgt. Slaughter winning the WWF Title at Royal Rumble 91 was a good thing

The fact that the Persian Gulf War only lasted less than two months didn't help the storyline really either. By the time Wrestlemania had come around, the Iraqi army had been ejected from Kuwait and...

Re: Macho Man Randy Savage To Be Inducted In WWE HOF

Of course Hogan is going to make it all about him. It has always had to be about him, from his own WWE HOF induction speech where he said he was above the business to the night Owen Hart died when...

Re: Shouldn't Vader have beaten Hogan at Superbrawl V

Vader beating Hogan would have been huge. In fact, you could have stretched the whole thing out to Starrcade. Imagine Hogan going through everyone in the roster as Vader steamrolls all his...

Re: Mic work doesn't matter much

Mic work has mattered, always has, always will. Going back to the days when Lawler, Hogan, Flair, etc dominated the wrestling landscape, your top stars always had to have the mic skills.

Re: Moms against WWE

Agree. Only within the past year does my 12-year-old start watching wrestling as well as my 10-year-old daughter. I make sure they watch with me so they understood what's going on. I'll take that...

Re: Wrestlers who got over with little or no wrestling ability

"Dr. Death" was a solid mat wrestler and he was able to work. After all, he was an NCAA wrestling champion in Oklahoma and his work in the Mid-South/UWF and early on with the NWA shows he could...

Reminds me of a scene in the movie "Private Parts", where the researcher for WNBC is explaining to the program director Howard Stern's popularity...

Re: What was the point in Sting at Survivor Series?

Of course, Sting did make appearances here and there. No, you don't need to trot him out every week but you should have him make an occasional cameo. I'd be good with him hanging out in the rafters...

Re: Hulk Hogan - sexuality in professional wrestling

As someone who despises Hulk Hogan, I can't find anything wrong with his comments. Although, Pat Patterson as homosexual is one of wrestling's worst kept secrets for the last 20-plus years.

Re: Do people really want Vince gone and HHH to lead the company?

For years, we have wondered how the WWE will survive without Vince at the helm. I would say we're getting closer to that point. Then, we'll see how someone else handles the company.

Re: WWE 3- Disc Lawler DVD on it's way!

Even though he lost that match, I'd have to add the Lawler vs. Idol hair-vs-hair cage match to this list.

Re: Could Bockwinkel vs. Hogan sell out the Metrodome?

Just for continuity, at the time you had a partnership between the AWA and Memphis. You could have used the Memphis wrestlers and brought them up for the card. Plus, in the second half of 1983...

Re: HOW did wcw lose so much money in the late 90s?

It was the difference between how Turner ran his business and how Vince ran things.

Turner had more money in the coffers and was more than willing to spend it. He had pretty much given Bischoff...

Re: Are wrestlers underpaid?

Which is why a union would never work. Vince would simply release all those who want to go union and hire wrestlers that would be happy to be on the WWE roster. Yes, there are a lot of those out...

Re: Are wrestlers underpaid?

I would be interested to see a list of salaries of WWE wrestlers in order to make the determination of their worth. With them now being a company gone public with their stock, doesn't Vince have to...

Re: How did Hulk Hogan get over with the fans in 1983?

Verne Gagne turned him face without any problem when the cheers of the fans outweighed the boos. However, the issue is that Verne refused to put the AWA World title belt on him. He felt the...

Re: Wrestling injuries with the worst timing

Magnum was a tremendous talent. He had what it took to be the face of Jim Crockett Promotions. That car accident ended a great career.

One that I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned was Ahmed...
