Re: In which territory would each of today's wrestlers fit most naturally?

I could picture Seth Rollins having worked out well in World Class. His promos and attitude reminds me sometimes of the late Gino Hernandez.

Ambrose and Reigns both would have been over in...

Re: Wrestlers who's real names HAD to be changed (Fun thread)

Or, how about the Madman of the Sudan, Larry Shreeve (aka Abdullah the Butcher).

Tony Halme...not as imposing for a foreign heel name as his alter ego, Ludvig Borga.

And of course, the...

Re: Am I the only one who shudders at the mention of the LOD?

To say the Legion of Doom was treated as weak in the WWF the first time around is not accurate. Heck, the moment Vince got Animal and Hawk to join the WWF, he pretty much pushed Demolition right...

Re: Bad Gimmick Made Good/That You Enjoyed

Diamond Dallas Page in the WWE. He made you bo-lieve before Bo Dallas did. It was a brutal gimmick but he made it work and it was hilarious.

Re: Name The One Wrestler You'd Like To See Inducted Into Next Year's Hall Of Fame The Most

Welcome back, first of all.

I want to be different here, seeing as how everyone is going with Vader, Owen, Taker, Rude, etc...a team I'd like to see that was missed and would be fitting...

Re: Forgotten Feuds.....

Steiners vs. Williams-Gordy...had a couple of good matches during the summer of 1992 but then the feud died out when the Steiners left WCW and Williams-Gordy returned to Japan.

Freebirds vs....

Re: Rowdy Roddy Piper - Favourite moments / Heel or face Piper?

I appreciated Piper's feud with Greg Valentine, that culminated with the dog collar match at Starrcade '83. That was a great moment in the history of Piper's career. Plus, the match between Piper...

Re: Greatest Mystery Opponents of all time

August 2, 1992...Baltimore Arena. Originally, the main event that night was to be a rematch for the WCW World title between Big Van Vader and Sting. However, during the US title match between Rick...

Re: Who was your favorite superstar managed by Mr. Fuji

Demolition...they were a Road Warrior rip-off but he made them look bad-ass. He was no Paul Ellering but it worked.

Re: Between the Iron Sheik and Roddy Piper

The first part of 1984, Hogan had quite a few battles with both members of the Wild Samoans, Paul Orndorff, George Steele, and Greg Valentine. The second half of 1984, his main feud was with Big...

Re: Great matches that NEVER were???

David Von Erich vs. Ric Flair- Could have taken place in 1984 at either the Star Wars on July 4th in Fort Worth or the Cotton Bowl Classic in October. Alas, his death meant that we never saw that...

Re: Describe - Harley Race

Race was no-frills. There was no pomp and circumstance about the man. He was very straight-forward and just methodically plowed ahead in the ring. His interviews were also very low-key but they...

Re: 1992 WCW: Let's discuss

Had Watts been willing to combine keeping up with the times with that oldschool approach he was known for, WCW would have been not just successful for the in-ring product but a financial success as...

Re: Worst WrestleMania Build of All Time to One of the Best WrestleManias in Recent Memory

I thought this WM would suck balls after the terrible build-up. However, I came away pleasantly surprised. It was definitely one of the better shows in recent memory and I am looking forward to...

Re: If the WM 2 concept had been successful, what might WrestleMania today look like?

I liked the supercard in multiple location idea. Although, Vince did steal it from Jim Crockett Promotions (Starrcade '85 and '86 were held in both Greensboro Coliseum and the Omni in Atlanta).

Re: Will pro wrestling ever die?

Pro wrestling will be around in some form 100 years from now, but I don't see it to be the form that we now have. I could see it going back to the old days of the territories where each region has...

Re: What Was It Like To Be A Pro-wrestling Fan Before The Territories Died Out?

Ah...I miss those days. The territory days were great for what they were back then.

If you happened to be lucky enough to be in a part of the country that had access to multiple territories in...
