Re: Your thoughts on Corporate Ministry era?

One of my first memories of Wrestling growing up. I was intrigued by it with Undertaker, Mideon, Viscera and the Acolytes. Didn't really make sense but my god its nostalgic as hell!

Re: MNW Team WWF or Team WCW

My first memories of wrestling were late 98 - Rock throwing Austin's belt over the bridge springs to mind. I also watched WCW throughout and even continued to do so close to its death (it was on...

Re: Why did The Rock stop wearing his $500 shirts?

Agreed, he lost his edge around 2000/01 when the business was starting to clean up and he went off to Hollywood.

I cringe at some of the stuff he comes out with now - 'pie eating jabroni beating...

Re: Your least favorite wrestling personalities of all time.

Sheamus - Epitome of wrestling today. Absolutely awful character not backed up by great promos or wrestling skills. Cheese.

Bradshaw - Don't warm to him, never thought he was a main eventer, one...

Re: Wrestlers who got over with little or no wrestling ability

Can't believe it took 46 posts for Kevin Nash to get mentioned.

Otherwise I'd say the obvious - Goldberg and The Ultimate Warrior

Re: Were Ken Shamrock & Billy Gunn the right guys to win King of The Ring

Shamrock yes, Billy Gunn no.

Having said that, X-Pac or Billy Gunn (can't remember which) said in a shoot interview that X-Pac was meant to win it but he got punished (?). Therefore Billy was a...

Re: Why did wrestling's popularity crash in 2001-2002?

Wrestling and society became more politically correct (generally) and cleaned up their act. The new brand image of the WWE without the competition of WCW and ECW, two of the biggest stars wrestling...

Re: Why wasn't Kane consistently pushed as a main eventer in the AE?

I think Kane was great to sit in the background of the Attitude Era main event scene as he was over against the heels (DX) getting huge pops when his music came on. I genuinely think he should have...

Re: Wrestling and Streaks

I definitely think streaks can get people over, especially when used in the right way. Although it seems like the wrestlers turn into faces when they get more wins under their belt, a face could turn...

Re: What's more important, entertainment or wrestling?

Entertainment. If I can't get past the characters, storylines and sense of programming I won't watch it - like I don't today.

Re: Better swerve: Rock joining Corporation or Trips/Steph turning on Vince Armageddo

Rock to the Corporation by far. I didn't care about Stephanie to be bothered about a heel turn.

Re: could anyone match The Rock on the mic?

No-one comes close to Rock from 98-01. After that his promos were awful in comparison and even worse in the last few years.

Re: Survivor Series 2000 ending

One match epitomises the (arguably) most successful and competitive period in wrestling history?

Bollocks.

I'm not saying it should return, but that match shouldn't sway anyones opinion on the...

Re: 1997 or 1998?

I prefer 98, as things fell more into place for '99 which I prefer out of all three. The rise of Rock to be more specific.

Re: Russo Reveals All!

One thing that annoys me about Russo is his philosophy that 'its pro Wrestling its not real', justifying stupid and far fetched angles he came up with (including Arquette).

People don't watch...

Re: Was The Rock really that much more talented than Booker T?

Are people really trying to argue reasons why Booker wasn't as good as Rock in most aspects?

The Rock is/was a hell of a lot more talented than Booker T during their peaks. I'd even say Rock was...

Re: Mark Henry's WWE Career - Success or Failure

Failure for me. The fact he's still in the WWE today epitomises the downfall of the business in the last 10 years
