Wrestlemania and especially the main event is about star power and the money. It is not about trying to please or impress the IWC marks whose idea of a great main event wrestling match is vastly different than the mainstream wrestling crowd sitting in the couches and chairs across America. As much as I am not a Cena fan I'd rather still pay money to watch him wrestle then watch Bryan/Punk.

I don't understand this argument that they can't draw...they both get the highest crowd reactions and they sell a lot of tee shirts and merchandise....how the fuck do Punk and Bryan not draw? explain this to me! all the "CM Punk" and "yes" signs mean that those people didn't go to the event to see them? they all get on their feet when they both come out...how do they not draw? what can make a person say that?

Punk's only won 1 PPV match this year though. While he's had a bunch of big time matches, he's lost all of them. Going over Jericho means dick. Hell, Jericho is about the only guy Ryback has beat this year too.

BATTLE OF DA JERICHO GUYS

I also have no problem with a future Punk/Bryan encounter. I LOVED their match at OTL and look forward to their next one. I just think they have a much better shot of being a bigger deal if they hold off for 31. We're talking about Wrestlemania 30 here. The McMahon's are going to be all over this.

I rather they do Vince w/Austin vs Hunter w/Stephanie (rumor is that is one of their ideas) than Cena/Hunter again. Vince in ring last year with Punk and took a nasty F5 by Brock with a legit bad hip, he is crazy enough to do it one last time and he will survive 15-20 minutes with Hunter (which would likely be less violent than their 1999 Armageddon Ecounter).

Paul Heymans even gone over Punk

I love to watch Punk but that's it, I know he'll never be the guy. Some Bryan marks need to start seeing the world as it is rather than see it as what they want it be.

Compare those guys to The Rock, SCSA, Hogan and Cena.

For top guys they can't draw.

You so badly want Bryan to over Punk don't you? The fact is he could go over the Rock and he still wouldn't draw. Guys like Punk and Bryan just don't draw this could have been the perfect time to build the shield instead they build a 5 foot 8 leprechaun who pulls off great matches and cuts 5 star promos

Unlike you I can admit this, Punk and Bryan cannot ever be the guy.
He already is. I was using Bryan as an example not a comparison BTW; you're the one turning this into a comparison.

I asked you to back up your bullshit and name all Punk's losses and you can't. He's won or no-showed pre-Payback almost as much as he lost. Again dude. relax your ass.

Right after Punk beat Axel clean leading to a win/loss draw for the night.

Cena doesn't draw jack shit nowadays except for when he's with guys like the Rock in the ring..the glory days are long gone now...Austin, Rock, all of those guys were the highest the WWE will ever get, nobody can be them..they need to deal with what they have now...Punk and Bryan do fine in the drawing department...if they didn't draw, then why are they around the title picture? and why is Punk getting another opportunity?

Let Bryan go over Punk, it'll mean nothing.

If Punk can't even beat a genuine main eventer clean, what does a win over him really mean?

You're just above the guy who has only won one big match in his career?

You have to believe that were they doing this storyline even just a few years ago that Vince would be in there without hesitation. But he's almost 70 years old now and just had surgery recently. God forbid something actually happened to him during the match. I just can't see it happening and if they can't get anybody else, I'm fully expecting Cena w/Vince vs. Trips w/Steph. I'd mark if they got Shane. Shane w/Vince vs. Trips w/Steph. That would be perfect but I doubt that too.

He definitely needs to start scraping together a few W's to round out the year.
