Ziggler vs. Langston...Makes No Sense!
Just a made a thread in The SD! section w/ the same title (Rhodes vs. Sandow) and talked about how the feud made no sense. It's not the only one either.
Everything from Money in the Bank from the next night on Raw was great IMO. AJ cost Ziggler, Ziggler dumped AJ, AJ and Big E struck back. But what has happened since. Dolph has come to the ring all smiley and cracking jokes. So you just got your ass royally handed to you by a monster of man and you come out like this? Ok, yeah, that makes sense (insert sarcasm).
Why is the Punk vs. Lesnar story so great. It's not just the guys involved, it's the story. Punk was betrayed by his best friend and has gotten his ass kicked by Lesnar twice. Did Punk come out after those attacks w/ a smile on his face making jokes. To quote Daniel Bryan: NO! He came out and cut intense promos on how he would get his revenge on Heyman and Lesnar. It's such simple booking it's great. You make Heyman and Brock look dominant, it makes more and more people want to tune into Summerslam and watch Punk get his revenge.
But this feud is completely ass-backwards. Did anyone see the Ziggler/AJ/Big E segment from SD!. AJ's crying in the ring w/ Big E trying to console her and Ziggler is completely running her down. Seriously, if a casual fan or someone who doesn't even watch the show had turned in at that moment, they would think Ziggler is the heel and AJ and Big E are faces.
It makes no sense. You want your babyfaces to built up as sympathetic figures so the audience will cheer for them and boo the heel. After that scene, I would rather cheer for AJ and Big E. Again makes no sense and they've taken this story in a terrible direction.
What do you think?
