Coz the little kiddies would cry.

Seriously, this is it. Sheamus appeals to children a a larger than life character. He will never turn heel again.

Bullshit, he comes out tepid reaction about 95% of the time. A lot of fans don't give a shit about him and he is not over enough nor good enough to warrant anything above upper midcarder let alone 3 world title reigns.

You don't get it, i'm not saying he has to get pinned all the time, but I hate how Orton and Ryback have been taking the falls when they are edgier and less cartoony characters than Sheamus. Its annoying and I noticed whenever I watch a Sheamus single smatch you know he's going to win and that's the irritating aspect of it.
Why did Ryback take the pin over Sheamus when he's supposed to be WWE's next big breakout star? Sheamus is 35 years old he's as old as Cena how is he even considered a Cena successor when he has just as much time as Cena in the business. They have what 5-8 years left together surely Ryback would be the apporiate successor.

Because he is a top guy but needs to be given a main event feud with meaning and he needs to be serious.

Facts:
  • Sheamus is one of the very best in the ring.
  • Sheamus is underrated on the mic when he can be serious.
  • Sheamus has a unique and badass look.
  • Sheamus was getting great reactions before WWE tried to turn him into an Irish Cena.
I don't care for him never said he couldn't wrestle. But his everything just bothers me. From all of his unwarranted accolades to his superman character. He hardly loses and always gets mic time. When he can't talk worth a hot nickel.

Dude just(imo)sucks Goblin balls.

P.s. Those are your opinions not "facts".

I'm not a fan of Sheamus, but that's not due to HIM, but how he is being portrayed. It is NOT his fault. However, he tries to have fun with the role given and that's a good sign.

Sheamus has enormous potential, but I haven't a clue how they should build him. No, we've had too many "monster heels". As a complete face, we're seeing it not working at all. He should be a tweener who "loves to fight" and fights faces and heels with equal enthusiasm. This is just guessing on my part.

The thing is, if they go with "Irish mistreated in America" with him and remind people of just how low on the totem pole we Irish were, he would be popular. He would be wrestling's version of Danny Greene, an Irish criminal who took on the Cleveland Mafia and was highly proud of his celtic ancestry. The opposite of this is pushing that the Irish are just hard drinking morons, Lucky Charms, and bar joke enthusiasts.

***For those of you who just don't like to read(I understand, it doesn't make you stupid, but just don't like to read print) watch the movie "Kill the Irishman" to learn about Danny Greene. For fun, count how many times the Cleveland mob tries to blow him up and fails.

He's no more protected than any other top guy.

If the question was actually serious, then the answer would be because WWE feels he has one of the highest potentials of those on the roster who aren't already mega pushed. They probably think he is on the verge of breaking out. . .or at least they want to keep him warm in case someone gets hurt so he can replace them at the top, which is more likely.
