Was the last Punk/Taker segment too much?

I know it's hot in the Raw thread but I wanted to put it to a vote. This segment is definitely going down in history though. Either as a huge mistake, or one of the best segments in history.

EDIT: I voted no for the few posters who somehow interpreted otherwise from my clearly unbiased OP

no. not even close. clearly people don't remember the big show vs bossman feud, Christ bossman made a poem about big shows fathers deathn and drove up during the funeral yelling it out a megaphone, then he proceeded to hit Show with his car then tying a chain around the casket and driving away.

1. It was an prop urn full of sand.

2.
Vince Okayed it
The Undertaker Okayed it
HHH Okayed it
Kane Okayed It.
CM Punk Okayed it
WWE Creative Okayed it
PAUL BEARERS FAMILY OKAYED IT.

He would have loved that he was associated with a major Wrestlemania feud and the last thing on RAW.

It was meant to be distasteful and cringeworthy because it is meant to get him major heat and get people to really feel uncomfortable and make people hate him for their match.

However I'm sure there are hundreds of better ways that RAW could have finished.

Im going to have a look on the WWE Facebook page to see if any angry mothers are writing in.

Oh fuck off was it too much. This whole messageboard is full of threads despising and bagging the PG rating and as soon as something edgy comes on people all of a sudden become Mother Theresa and wonder if things are disrespectful. It was great. Punk looked like a cunt and the fans were still chanting his name just because he did it so well.

Anyone who voted "Yes" never watched WWE back during the Attitude Era where Bossman was hung in the middle of the ring, Big Show's dad's casket was chained to the back of a car and drove around a cemetery, Katie Vick etc.

This wasn't even that out of line or graphic.

Since it's such a touchy subject, it had to be OK'd with everyone. And since it was aired, then it was clearly OK.

You people are such hypocrites when it comes to WWE, it's no wonder the product sucks. They do nothing considered edgy, it's too PG; They do something slightly edgy, "OMG WTF BBQ". It's entertainment and fiction. Do you say a writer is out of line when they write a novel or story about someone being murdered?

If you found this too disturbing, then you should really stay off the internet and stop watching TV. You are literally better off sitting in a bubble the rest of your life twiddling your thumbs.

Just because some people haven't been completely desensitized by television doesn't mean they need to live the rest of their lives in a "bubble". It's a classic way of thinking in America, "if television says it's ok, then it is". I personally think there are certain limits, and this was kind of messed up. It blatantly demonstrates how lazy the WWE is. It's basically them saying "we don't know what the fuck to do for Punk-Taker, but hey look how convenient, Paul Bearer just dropped dead. Let's use his death as the main focus of this feud". It's funny how often a consensus is reached based on what's displayed on television and in the media.

The segment was fantastic. Edgy, unpredictable and done well. Punk is just a boss, everything he does is amazing, mixing him with Taker will always have been a success, now I can't wait for their match this Sunday. PUMPED!
