You know I get it that the family gave the ok and the participants didn't feel it was going over the line, but at the end of the day this is what it is.

For some who use the excuse that Paul Bearer is just a character that defense gets thrown out the window when the company has a history of using people's deaths to build matches for Mania such as Eddie Guerrero.

With that said I don't think the segment was too much when you take out the reality of using Paul Bearer's real death.

Bret giving anything other than a 4/10??!?

No, but it is pretty pathetic that they go to such lengths to "cross the line" and try to be edgy per se. They never cease to amaze me with the amount of sheer stupidity they include. Dumping kayfabe ashes on someone...really?

If the fact that who was winning was telegraphed meant not having a reason to watch the match then we would have missed several great matches from Taker at the least few Wrestlemanias. I expect a great match, probably the match of the night. I just don't like wwe trying to make money off a real life death.

Hey maybe next straight edge Punk can make fun of Flair by using Reid's death against him.

It's cool though because Flair's okay with it. Edgy tv rules.

Thought about it but that usually influences people to vote the way they think everyone else will. I tried to be as unbiased as possible. Which to according to some means I'm a whiner who can't stand "edgy" product.

My boundaries are pretty damn far for the record. I'm all for breaking new ground.

Nope. People getting asshurt over it, yet bitching and complaining that WWE doesn't ever try to be edgy need to get the fuck over it. That show sucked terribly, but at least WWE TRIED to do something over the top, albeit at the end, and it damn well worked.
