If a heel is going to play mindgames to get Taker off his game in an attempt break the streak, why wouldn't he do things like this?

No, thought it was great. Heyman as Bearer was the highlight of the show, even thought that's not saying much with how bad the rest of the stuff was. Don't think you can go too far in pro wrestling when it involves stuff like this.

Re: Was the last Punk/Taker segment too much?

Like I said in the Raw thread, having Heyman dress up as Bearer I felt was a little unnecessary, but the rest of the segment was excellent.

Flatley my dear, I don't Riverdance.

There's a difference between edgy and classless.

Re: Was the last Punk/Taker segment too much?

Bearer's family said that WWE asked their permission before running the angle so I'd imagine they ran this by them too? I'd hope so at least. If the family's not offended then no need for us to be.

Oh you were not aware of this?

Re: Was the last Punk/Taker segment too much?

It should have been more obvious it was Heyman as Bearer. Also the segment seemed to drag a minute+ with the Druids chanting, all arranged, and Heyman waiting to come out for whatever reason.

Re: Was the last Punk/Taker segment too much?

Fuck no it was awesome and im sure many including bearers family/sons okayed it and were fine. Im sure Paul Bearer wouldn't mind it at all for the fact they are using him as part of mania. Imo fans such as you original poster are why WWE are allowed to get away with such a shitty product and being politically correct with shit. Appreciate great controversy when WWE actually gives it. Would you rather there be more gay G rated crap honestly? Shit like this is attitude era style shock value.
