More professional, obviously.

Striker is fantastic, but yeah, he gets really smarky and smarmy at times and tends to cite statistics and facts that are simply untrue. Still, his talents are wasted as a backstage interviewer.

I just want someone who knows the difference between the crippler cross face and the STF.

Wait in vain. This company doesn't even want people to talk about the matches. It is all scripted before hand and talking about moves isn't part of it.

Yeah, people like Matt Striker and Scott Stanford have faults, but at least they talk about why do a move (psychology of it), what that move does and feels like (sports aspect of it, given more credibility when a former wrestler like Striker, Regal or JBL talks about that) and what that move sets up and what the rest of the match might be like like (strategy, theory and prediction).

Right now, RAW doesn't have a COMMENTARY team. They have a "sports entertainment" team. That means more bickering, more talking about out of ring action, hyping things to come, avoiding treating the in-ring action like a sporting contest with psychology, strategy and tactics.

JBL has to commentate it all. He is the only guy that can help put guys over. By far the best right now. Cole and Lawlor haven't got a clue anymore.

I don't think Michael Cole is going anywhere. He will probably be around for another twenty years, assuming WWE is around that long.

Cole has been around so long that surely the company can find him something else to do. Such as Teddy Long was a referee for years, moved to managing and then to GM type roles. The commentary position is much more stable and job secure than these sorts of things, but surely with Cole being a heat magnet much like Vickie Guerrero he could do something else and allow some fresh blood in the commentary position to give Raw and SD are new feel to it.

Cole when he's with JBL is actually a lot better. Just replace Lawler with JBL for Raw and it's sorted.

I'm basically just going to echo this statement. JBL just brings more out of Cole than Jerry does. Plus JBL actually calls the match.
