Re: Jerry "The King" Lawler Discussion
Like I said in the RAW discussion thread; I think it's gotten a lot worse since he came back from his heart attack. I really believe he's been put medically on something since his incident to slow his heart rate, or painkillers, or just something that is making him slow, forgetful and distant.
With that said; it could be something even more depressing. Sure we were told he suffered no long term ill-effects and no brain damage. But who's to say that's true? They could have just not seen the damage, or maybe Lawler and his doctors have simply hidden it at his request.
Whatever it is; the man has gone from a quick witted, sharp as a tac legendary speaker, to a slow, dull, distant, forgetful, mumbling and fumbling mess, in the space of less than a decade. I'm sorry but that's not normal. It reminds me of watching Muhammad Ali in his prime cutting epic promos, and then seeing him a decade or so later when he'd taken countless beatings slurring and mumbling all over the place. Just sad.
