Default Chris Jericho Discussion Thread

Overwhelming praise by everyone I know, everyone on Twitter and everyone on here (almost everyone).

He has been absolutely outstanding since his return. What I love about it? He's genuinely acting like himself. He's putting on great matches and it's just fun.

Is it just me or is he getting the loudest responses every single week? He certainly had 100 signs in the crowd in Nashville (I've never seen that many Jericho signs before), he's having fantastic matches and he's 42 years old.

I can't believe he's this good after 5 months off.

But yeah, what are your thoughts on his return? We might not like the half year schedule he's doing but wow, he's coming back fresh, giving us great matches it's just awesome. It's not one Raw a week either, he's the workhorse when he gets back, slots right into that spot like he didn't miss a beat. Just an absolutely great wrestler.

Can't the WWE just fuck the storylines and give us a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania between Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk? It's like this generations Shawn Michaels Vs. Bret Hart Vs. Ric Flair.

He's been great. But then Jericho has always played it smart by not taking extended leaves followed by a large stint. His schedule choice allows him to retain shape and stave off ring rust.
You also get the feel they decided to just fuck it and let him go with his own character/lines.

Keep him as a face please. I hate his monotone heel character. It gets old very quick. Leave him face and let him continue to have great matches on TV. Jericho v Barratt at WrestleMania would be my direction

2008 was his MVP year. I think it will be looked back on as the greatest in his career and he played that heel character for 3 1/2 years and didn't get old at all through his feud with Michaels 08', Rey 09', Jerishow 09' and title reign 10'.

Face Jericho feels fresh though, so you're definitely right about that. I reckon let him be himself and just have fun. I'm loving it. I wouldn't put him up against Barrett, I think Barrett hasn't proven enough to have a WrestleMania match with a legend at the peak of his powers. Bryan/Punk/Ziggler seem a solid fit.

His last heel run was tiresome. That's all I meant. And I think a WrestleMania match against Jericho could be the making of Barrett. IC champion versus the greatest IC champion of all time. Jericho would relish making someone like Wade Barrett.

My thoughts is that while Rock and Lesnar are bigger returns, Jericho is this far the one that provides the most quality segments.

The guy does pretty well as a face right now, I know people want him heel but you know he's going to be cheered regardless, Jericho is pretty much in the Undertaker, Triple H, Austin stage of fame now, no matter what he does he's gonna be cheered, he could drown some kitten tomorrow and people will love him for it :P
