Big money cameos are shit

I'm a fan of Lesnar. And The Rock. But all Lesnar does is come to the ring once in a while, throw a fit then have an awful (rust-fest) wrestling match at a PPV. It's not much different with The Rock. There's something missing here, it's called viewer investment. Simply put: If you're not on the road, you shouldn't be headlining a show.

Same with The Rock. Here today, gone tommorow. Why bother?

Well WWE doesn't care about creating new stars, so....

If you have the biggest match, then you should headline the show. That's how it is, and that's how it's always going to be. I understand where you're coming from, but WWE is doing it purely from a business perspective.

Unfortunately biggest almost never means the best these days.

THIS.

At this point when I look at the WWE today all I see is some weird hybrid of both the AWA and WCW in there dying years and if they stay the course they going to end up just like those former promotions in 10 years from.

It can be cheap and easy, sure. I love it whenever an old guy shows up for a guest spot and everybody jizzes their pants like it is the greatest thing to ever happen, like Diesel & Booker showing up at that one Royal Rumble.

They have done a lackluster job of elevating that next generation to the point that most of the big spots at Wrestlemania are routinely being taken by part timers that were big in the past generation. The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, and now we can throw Brock Lesnar into the mix there while Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels used to be on that list (well Bret just the one time, but still).

However, it is cool if they have a good storyline in place for the guys they are bringing in. Like if they had something totally awesome cooked up for Lesnar, I'd be really cool with using him at Mania this year. Chris Jericho's program with Punk last year was great and I loved having him back for that storyline.

It all depends on how it works out and what you are able to create storyline wise. Though it is kind of sad that most of us have trouble even thinking up things for alot of the younger guys for fantasy cards because we know we have to work in guys like Rock, Taker, HHH, Lesnar, & the like because they have to be, and they are part timers.

I'm all for cameos of beloved legends. But not when it's: FUCK IT! None of these guys can get over, ask XXXX how many million he wants. Here's something the WWF would've done in that situation - fire creative. It's kinda ironic that The Rock became the man he is because WWE couldn't afford to do what WCW was doing (Buying Rodman, Van Damme and Leno) so they were forced to push young guys. Now, they're lax and doing the same shit with him.

It's not The Rock that's the problem, I have no doubt he's there for the fans. No doubt at all. Can't say the same for Lesnar.

Yep.
Current WWE reminds me of dying days of WCW.
There's no plan on future main eventers anymore.
Expect to see at least 5 more years of Cena in main event and old stars coming back every week.

You could say the Undertaker only makes cameo appearances, as well.

The thing is, WWE knows they need guys like Rock, Brock, Triple H and 'Taker to sell WrestleMania. Hell, they even had HBK come back last year to do a special ref appearance. Without the guys I mentioned, who would be the stars they have to sell WrestleMania? Cena, Punk...? Then who? Not exactly the same lineup as the first group of guys I mentioned.

And that's exactly why WWE is failing beyond imaginable level.
WWE literally gave up on creating new stars.
Without old stars coming back. WWE is completely doomed.
