Re: WWE Champion.
It's amazing how much Punk brought that belt back to the forefront.. but then, he is actually acting and reacting to losing it as if it actually means everything and that you should scrap and claw to be at every possible show to strut around with the championship to prove that are the very best. It's just another example where the "heel/face" dichotomy seems reversed from how the WWE is presenting it. The Rock, now, doesn't seem to be using that belt for anything as a prop to carry around Hollywood while Punk wants to cherish the Championship and hold it high at every show... the WWE wants us to cheer the Rock and boo Punk, but many people are pointing and going "wait... we want the guy that will take pride in the championship and carry it around at every show to show off that he is the best".
This isn't a huge knock on the ROck... he paid his dues years ago and should be respected overall. But it was a bad move to give the belt to a guy that had two prior matches in total over 8 years and couldn't even bother to make a majority of the shows. It cheapens the aura of that title.
Wrestling fan first... company fan last. Nothing worst than the fan that is loyal to the brand first and the wrestling second.
Ahhhh... late night strolls through the forum with my booze. Here's to finding out what the hell I did the next day!
