Precisely. This is proof positive that its not the crowds that suck, its the product. That pop for Goldberg winning the belt is easily in the top 5 greatest pops in wrestling history. So we KNOW that they're capable of getting into what's going on when its good and can product great reactions. The fact is...it isn't good now...and hasn't been for a while. As a result, they're silent.

They only were active for about 2 minutes of Cm Punk vs. Jericho match.
1. Any halfwit could figure out that Brock was resigned since he showed up last week. Why would they pop for the obvious?

2. It was an undercard match that was meh, Mysterio is losing his star power and Bryan's idiotic character is losing its steam. What did you expect? Neither guy has any real star power.

3. Mark Henry has always gotten bleh reactions from everyone in the past several years except the IWC. Watch 2011, when his music hits, they're like "oh...yay...". Why should they just suddenly care for someone when they had little reason to before? It was like Swagger's return, basically (in terms of impact).

4. Makes sense that they'd pop for two actual, legit stars...on top of their match being very good.

Re: RAW should never come back to Atlanta

2004 when the Rock returned it wasn't a terrible crowd. In fact that whole night they were into the whole show. Instead of blaming the audience blame the product and the talent who can't get themselves over. They popped for Brock, Jericho and Punk and no one else? Gee I wonder why...

Can't fully blame the product for this one. I believe in any other place, it would've went over fine.

In other places, the crowds alive for any stupid thing. This crowd was just almost arrogantly dead.

They could've cheered for that stuff. They could've got involved.

7/4/2011. CM PUNK WINS THE WWE TITLE.
