Atlanta in the 80s/90s all the way into the late 2000's have always had one of the hottest crowds anywhere and is easily one of the top 5 cities in the country when it comes to rich wrestling history: Here is a list of some of the best Wrestling crowds the city has had.
Goldberg vs. Hogan -( This crowd reaction alone trumps anything in the past 10 years easily)
THe Rocks return 2004
Royal Rumble 2010
They were not as bad last night as some are making it out to be. I thought the crowd reacted pretty good to the CM Punk/ Jericho match...MArk Henry's Return and Brock Lesnar coming out.
Most other parts of the show... I admit the crowd wasnt the best...add to the point that they probably found out when they got to the arena The Rock wouldnt be there that night.
Btw to whoever mention about Atlanta not giving a crap about the sports teams... It has been noted that the Georgia Dome was 9th loudest place to play in the NFL all season.
Plus I think being a former WCW has a little bit to do with it too.
But yall need to ease up off on this saying they should never come back...there have been alot worse cities when it comes to reaction plus WWE still draws quite well there despite the flat reactions as of late.
