Re: So Maddox face turn?
Whatever happens I got more respect for Maddox now than I did previously. At this point I can accept him as a naive babyface fool or ultimately the leader of The Shield. I'm honestly curious to see where they go with this.

He comes off as a shady douche. Plus the live audience either doesn't give a shit about him or he gets eaten alive by certain crowds.

His voice and the way he manipulates words makes me really want to like him but at the same time not trust him.

I can see why HHH is high on this guy, his mic skills are very good.

damn right, when the hell did people turn on maddox? People were calling him a selling machine.
Maddox has been consistently good, from showing up to do play-by-play to selling like a boss, to tonight.
Maddox is awesome, you people are crazy. He had the unfortunate position of going out in front of a shitty crowd. I thought he was hilarious tonight, portraying himself to be a hero

But I think that's all he has going for him presently, at least with how WWE is using him. His looks and character is of the typical slimy weasel that WWE wants to just show getting mistreated and beaten the shit out of by everyone for comedic effect.
I know I'm not the only one who laughed hard at the evidence tape, where the Shield appears quietly behind Maddox and stares at him; you just know he's going to get beat up. It is such a typical alleyway beat-down seen in movies/shows, it works! The dark atmosphere, scary and quiet appearance of Shield to surround Maddox, Paul Heyman sweet-talking Maddox into accepting the gang-rape style beating that followed. Priceless.

this guy gets it. And the Bane was hilarious, I'm glad Maddox went for it, it obviously landed since so many people recognized it.

Re: So Maddox face turn?
Just watched the segment on Youtube (I presume it was edited, seemed like Maddox had a lot more to say). As much as I may have hated him during the Punk/Ryback feud, he's definitely growing on me. His character seems to be pushing away from typical arrogant heel to something of a tweener (I know, I know). On one hand, you want to feel bad for him because all he wants is a contract and he's getting the shit beat out of him all the time, but then you look at the other side of the coin and he's getting what he deserves because he practically asks for it and associates himself with bad people. There really is a strong foundation for a good character here, but WWE is either going to push him towards cocky heel or crowd-pandering babyface, sadly. With the promo tonight, he demonstrated both heel ("Me and NOT John Cena") and face ("I am the hero"/fighting the Shield) traits.
And even his delivery--the Bane voice was perfect and didn't come off nearly as cheesy as it could/should have. Even without the Bane voice, he has a unique delivery--not always coming off as a smartass and not always coming off as pissed. Not going to say it was the greatest promo of all-time, but I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it and am slowly but surely becoming a Maddox fan.

I think he comes across as a tweener at this point, or an outsider... While he was calling him self a "hero" he was saying that from a delusional perspective considering the situation... The rest of his promo was fairly heelish in how he spoke, but at the same time he was mostly calling out other heels (Shield, Punk, Heyman) and that isn't very typical of a heel, but I think it would be fair to label him a heel right now, just not a normal heel.

Re: So Maddox face turn?
he'll take any opportunity he can get to further his agenda and he doesn't care who he has to pretend to be in order to accomplish that. That's all you need to know about Brad Maddox. Its a great character and he shines in his role. He's almost like Chris Jericho as the Prince of Loopholes.

Re: So Maddox face turn?
It sucks if he does. I was hoping he was working with The Shield this whole time but I guess not.
