I know they are trying to make him look great so when someone goes over him it looks all the more impressive.

But there's just something about Rock winning the last two matches that doesn't sit right. I think it's because I get the feeling the only reason he's winning recently is so he can end up putting someone over big but it just doesn't feel... natural. I don't know. I can't put my finger on it. It's like... I know wrestling is fake... but Rock beating Cena and Punk just feels so contrived.

I don't think that's helped by the fact that his wins have all been massively anti climatic. Beating Punk with one Rock Bottom and one People's Elbow when he'd previously kicked out of 2 pedigrees and a load of chair shots before. Same with Cena. Just when he won at WM28 it felt like... "oh... it's over already?".

Instead of Rock winning and me thinking "year he's great I knew he was the best" it just makes me think "oh well... maybe next time he'll put someone over".

It's probably me being overly smarkish but can't help but feel that the whole thing feels unnatural and contrived.

it doesn't feel right cuz we all knew about these plans for rock/punk/cena 3 months ago and it's retarded that the wwe actually stuck with them despite that. it also doesn't feel right cuz any match with the rock since he came back hasn't been all that good. his match vs cena at mania last year was a huge letdown and his match against punk at the rumble wasn't a great match either. the common denominator in both matches is one person: the rock. we've all seen cena and punk in great matches at times and even against each other. i'm starting to think either the rock has lost it or he was never that great to begin with and we all remember him more for his persona and promos then actual wrestling.

I also couldn't stand seeing the rock suck up to the crowd and thank them for this great moment after winning the title. CHEESY. Why the fuck is the rock doing that? Could you imagine stone cold or the rock doing that back in 2000? lol hell no. The rock is practically a boy scout face like cena now. Its pathetic. The great one shouldn't be getting all emotional like a wimp.
