Re: How would you react to Cena quitting?
I'd be happy. Its gotten to the point where his idiotic and lame ass persona is so obnoxious and off putting that I don't want him to turn heel, I want him to get the hell of of my TV screen. He's contributed nothing of note to the industry or been at the forefront of major changes, and yet he's constantly pushed and presented as someone of incredible importance. Even the most moronic fan can figure out that he's a sham of a top guy. Countless guys have had their pushes sabotaged because they begin to encroach on his popularity, or in Zack Ryder's case, they're sacrificed needlessly to make Cena out to be that much better. What point did that serve? Ryder could have been a good solid midcard guy, but they killed him, and for what? Did Cena suddenly sell more tickets for his match with Kane, or more t-shirts? Extremely unlikely. He didn't change as a character or anything, it was literally just filler to tide him over until March, which totally crushed the momentum of a young up and comer. Was Ryder a threat to Cena in his popularity? No, they needed a goat for Cena.
In a list of top of the industry guys in the past 40 years, Cena has absolutely cemented the bottom for himself. He's been by far the worst top guy, so much so that he's actually a joke.
