I really don't like the idea of a wrestler coming back to 'put someone over'...
Even if that IS why they have come back.

As soon as you start thinking like that, the WWE isn't as fun.

I try and focus on who they will fight and the matches they could have, rather than who SHOULD win / go over.

Some of your opinions are just stupid. You think Barrett looks too goofy to get over? He looks British so I suppose he looks a little goofy but not really... The man is what, 6'8? The beard is badass, he is jacked Not much goofy about that. And for those among us who think Jericho has no credibility, did youhear the pop he got? Or notice how he is instantly garnering more interest than more than half the roster?

Barrett was already a main eventer, he beat Cena, he was one step away from winning the WWE championship in a triple threat steel cage match. He's consistently facing other main eventers, like Sheamus and have good matches. Jericho likes Barrett, as does Ryback and imo so does a lot of others in the company, problem is since his debuted he's yet to be given another chance despite earning it imo. I'd rather for now he feuded with Jericho than a rookie, I really have no idea where the WWE is going with Barrett at the moment if he's losing to a rookie.
