I just dont like american superhero endings. Thats it. One hit, bam win after spending 90% of the match, beaten, on the ground, really? Can they atleast try to make it look a little bit real, or its too hard? Punk should just have been stripped from the title. Wrong, wrong long term decision by old man.

People's ellbow was never even really considered a finisher, it's more of a setup for the Rock Bottom. To imagine that Rock ended Punk's epic reign with just a spine buster and an ellbow drop. And we thought Cena's five moves of doom sucked. I mean rly, wtf...

I guess you forgot the biggest name in wrestling, Hulk Hogan @ WM 18.

Peoples Elbow may not be the most devastating move or even believable in terms of being damaging but thats not the point of Rock doing that anyways, the reason why Rock wins matches with that is, it creates electricity.. the whole build up to the peoples elbow which starts from the spine buster, then Rock looking at the fans, taking his elbow pad off, crowd going nuts, jerry lawler saying "the most electrifying move..." all of that makes it exciting. Much like Hogan's hulking up, big boot and leg drop combo.

If Cena won last year (which he should have) people will be bitching left and right saying that the Rock needs his win back. Funny how people thing. It's not about have a re-match, it's about Rock marks getting butt hurt about Rock having to job back to Cena at Wrestlemania. It's going to happen rather anyone likes it or not. If people don't like it, don't order, watch, stream the ppv and don't comment about Rock vs Cena period.

Come on, we all know how much Vince loves to beat a dead horse. Is anyone really surprised that this match is gonna happen "twice in a lifetime?"

Like I said in the Rock/WWE Title thread a few weeks ago about this Rock/Cena rematch. Same with Lesnar/HHH, if it was a different situation, I have no problem with a series of matches, which can go with twists of different heel/babyface dynamics. The first match was great and fans ate it up for every second with every dramatic moment or a nearfall, 100% invested in everything with the perfect finish. But the thing about is that Rock and Brock's matches are too rare to waste on a rematch when people already got everything they wanted out of the first one. If I was going to book the layout of the Rock/Cena match, it will be in the exact same way. Then you got the dream match factor, which you can't duplicate the magic of the first interaction in any presentation no matter how hard you try with titles and stipulations. That's the reason I don't want to see it again, especially with such a huge promotion for the first one. It's a one match blockbuster, what it meant to be from the start and what it needs to stay. They even closed it with an awesome documentary in a special DVD.

You can't draw a bigger audience after you already gave your RECORD BREAKING audience the ultimate payoff, the ultimate result, what they paid to see. I seriously don't know how they're not getting it. But with that said, even if they're going to do Rock/Cena again, it's going to be a completely different program. Rock never worked the same program with the same person, ever in his entire career. He always changed one aspect of his character or made it about a different subject. I still say that Brock costing Rock the title at EC is still a strong possibility. But Rock/Cena will have a completely different atmosphere to it if it happens. To see Rock as WWE Champion again was all worth it anyway. It's all about the memorable moments.

Well, yeah, but there was a SLIGHT, just a VERY SLIGHT difference:
"The two tried their respective finishers, the Rock Bottom and the leg drop but each kicked out. After two more Rock Bottoms and a People's Elbow, The Rock pinned Hogan and won the match. "

So it took Rock several Rock Bottoms + People's Elbow to beat Hogan, but only one Spine Buster + PPL's Elbow to beat the 400+ days WWE Champion. Hmmm...
