Let's begin.

No. No he fucking doesn't. If there is someone in this company who absolutely, positively does NOT need the rub from going over one of the biggest stars of all time, its John Cena.

Why, you may ask? Passing the torch to someone usually is done when the person getting it passed to is on the rise and will be a major player in the next era. Its symbolic. Once Austin retired, Brock left, Rock went on to pursue other fields, etc, the WWE didn't pass Cena the torch-they fucking GAVE it to him. So why on earth would they need a match to pass Cena a torch that he already has? Its a waste of time.

He needs his win back for a definitive moment? Are you fucking high? This man has had so many fucking definitive moments in the past 7 years that he's got MORE than his fair share. 10 WWE Title Wins, I don't even know how many WHC wins, WM main event after WM main event, Royal Rumble, wins his first MiTB...HE DOESN'T NEED ANYMORE. You are insane if you think he does.

This past year has been shitty for him? Well boo fucking hoo. If a bad year for him is main eventing every single show except for 2, being the face of cancer month, getting god knows how many new apparel deals and designs, having title match after title match that he did NOT deserve, wins MiTB, then I'd shudder to think what you consider a good year is.

And I scoff at someone like you who chastises Rock for his childish insults, but will defend to your grave the asshole who is using childish insults and demeanors to DESTROY pro wrestling today. Nice double standard.

Its so laughable that you try in vain to defend someone in this respect and are so clearly wrong.

Cena is NOT the biggest name since Hulk Hogan, and you need professional help if you think he is. Hogan, Rock and Austin-that's the top 3 most popular wrestling names of all time, followed by Flair and Sammartino. Cena is somewhere after that. Just because Cena is pushed as a big deal does NOT mean that he's as big as those other names.

Here's an example. I'm in college. I talk to some people who are younger than me and older than me. Every single one of them has heard of Steve Austin, Rock and Hulk Hogan. NONE have heard of John Cena. Zero. These people range from 18 to mid 30s. So no, he's not the biggest name since Hogan, and saying such a thing is idiotic that completely discredits the legitimate contributions and accomplishments of some of the greatest in the industry just so you can blindly push your Cena dick sucking full of WRONG facts.

And isn't it funny, yet again you complain that Rock does something that you don't agree with, but conveniently overlook it when Cena does it. "Cena you've lost every single big match this year!" So what happens? Let's give him a shot at Dolph's briefcase. Did he deserve it based on his previous performances? God no, he got it because he's John Cena. "Cena, I've beaten you every single time we've faced-you don't deserve another shot at my WWE title!" What happens? Cena gets 2 more shots, at NoC and Survivor Series. Why? Because he earned them? Of course not, its because he's John Cena. Hmm...Cena is getting opportunities based not on his current success, but his name and past successes...SOUNDS LIKE ROCK. You know, the guy you have no problem tearing into.

How dare you try and twist things around to suit your own argument. You're a petty douche and its so incredibly obvious.

And don't even try talking about hogging glory. Rey Mysterio losing his belt 90 minutes after he won it because Cena "deserved" a shot is the epitome of glory hogging.

As I've stated, many people have had that mass market appeal since Hogan, and all of them were BIGGER than Cena. Attitude was the most profitable period in wrestling history for actual WRESTLING. Today, the only way WWE can stay afloat is through licensing, merchandise sales, and whoring their name out to anyone who will bite-basically everything NOT wrestling.

Austin's run, as you put it, was controversial, which is part of why it was successful. It was so off beat and different, and the shock factor was a major selling point. The other fact is that it was so incredibly well done.

Cena is praised for so much-his charity work, being a role model...basically, shit that has nothing to do with wrestling. He visits dying kids-too bad he can't pull off a convincing STF worth a fuck. Great role model-he sells in ring like total shit, but great role model. What's his job? Humanitarian or pro wrestler? WRESTLER. And that's where he is so lacking.

Hey guess what-Dolph Ziggler does make a wish too!

Is it ever mentioned? Is it ever highlighted? Nope. Because they have to corner that market for their golden boy. Its a stacked deck going in. They never mention shit about anyone else and give all the glory to Cena. That is just flat out wrong. You want to talk about hogging the glory? You want to talk about being 'loved'? Anyone else would be loved for their contributions as well if the WWE didn't market such bullshit propaganda that places little Ms. Perfect in everyone's sights whether they want it or not.

Yes, Hogan, Warrior and Andre were shit in ring. However, they contributed so much to this industry that laid the foundations and built it up that that's why they're remembered. Cena hasn't accomplished or contributed one IOTA what they have, so to try and compare them is laughable.

The WWE gains nothing...except a ton of extra PPV buys, old fans returning for nostalgia, a ton more money...yeah, they gain nothing alright.

As I've already said, Cena doesn't need a definitive win against a major face of old. He's got enough on his resume for 5 other main eventers to split-the man needs to start giving back before he's given more.

When Diesel beat Backlund? That passed NO torch-Backlund was retired for years at that point and came back out of the blue for one run. He lost only to start Diesel's run convincingly. Backlund had long since given up 'the torch', so there was nothing to pass. Why do I have to explain such a simple thing to you? Same with Hogan and Rock-Rock and Austin shared the torch, Hogan was passing nothing. It was a nostalgia match between two legends, that was all.

Cena does not need to beat Rock definitively. It would do absolutely nothing for the man. It would be like another WHC reign. He's accomplished so much already that he needs no more. The loss to Rock meant absolutely nothing, either. Neither will a win.

Please, for the sake of those around you, get a clue. You're markdom is so deluded its pathetic and rather amusing.

Not at all. It wasn't that great and they promoted it as it being once in a lifetime so it's kind of dumb they would go ahead and do it again the following year.

I would like to see it, yes.

I am not a Cena or a Rock fan. But I enjoyed the build up and the match last year.
