There's no storyline logic for Rock/Taker or Rock/Brock. He came back to win the Title after 10 years. That's a mission statement he laid out. He isn't chasing the streak or wanting to get involved with Brock for a undercard grudge match.

There's always a rematch. Cena/Rock is happening and it's the right thing for business.
Too bad Cena is going to suck to wind out of everything like the last time.

This explains everything I dislike about John Cena.

Re: Tell me, does anyone here really want to see Rock vs Cena again?

I DO want to see it. And why?
Because John needs to get the win back, John NEEDS to go over Rock.
Yes, yes, I know Rock's a funny guy. But he's a celebrity, a part timers. No different than David Arquette, Dennis Rodman, Jay Leno or any other celebrity roped into the pro wrestling business. His past history doesn't change the fact that his priority is Hollywood and he should have NEVER gone over John at Wrestlemania.

John needs to get the win back, he needs this definitive moment, this past year has been really shitty for him and I think he deserves this one big standout moment that defines him as the torchbearer of WWE for years to come.

And it won't exactly be the same as it was last year. There'll be less childish insults from the Rock, he respects John now, so they can just fight without John having his gimmick buried by the Rock.
It'll be a different match held under different circumstances and with a different - RIGHT - outcome.

But his follow up was good, if not better than Thriller?

Unless you're meaning Rock/Cena was a CLASSIC and would be GREAT to see again, which it would not.

At this point, can the Rock even be a heel? Would it even matter if he was a heel, given he shows up 4-5 times a year?

So my point is, John Cena has to turn heel or this match won't be anything, the Monday after Wrestlemania. (Not that the first one ment much more, the following Monday)

Im ok with this match only if Cena turns heel at the end of this. It's not going to be the Rock that turns because he is leaving after Wrestlemania. Cena winning and being the same stale guy with the same stale act only sets the WWE backwards to where they were back in 2007.

Yeah, he did more than that running a whole hour with HBK or 45 minutes with Punk two years ago. I'm not a huge Cena fan, but he is a better worker than Rock. Sorry but it's true. He has about as many great matches as Rock does and he does a damn sight more than smile and do 5 moves.

Same principle - like Arquette or Leno, Rock is a celebrity now, not a wrestler.
Rock has not paid his dues, Rock left the business high and dry and still gets main event slots. Just like old man Hogan used to do, hobbling out in his feather boa, doing his well-rehearsed act of looking tearful at the fans reactions, and getting main event runs based on nostalgia.

That's what this is - nostalgia. The only reason Rock is in the main event against a superstar like John is because of the ammount of nostalgic fans willing to forget how he abandoned them.
The same fans will likely cheer and clap like seals when he steals the title from Punk - despite having done nothing to earn it.

My only solace is that all of this is foreplay to Rocky staring at the lights for John as he should have done last year.
