Simple question. I am a punk fan so don't hate, but was he shoved down our throats too much the past year?

Was he overpushed or is he really the best in the business? Has he failed to convince you hes actually great? Whatcha guys think?

I don't think so. But one of the main problems WWE has is if not Punk then who?

Sure, for the first 6 months of 2012 Punk and Cena could have traded title reigns, and then in the second 6 months of 2012 Ryback could have been thrown in the mix as well...but that sucks. 3 guys trading title reigns nonstop sucks.

And that is the major dilemma of WWE. They don't have enough built up main event stars.

When Cena wins the title back, likely at WM who do you think will be his major challenger for the rest of 2013, likely even main eventing against him at Summerslam? My money is on CM Punk. Same thing as 2012, just reversed.

It's no good. They have to fix it and soon. They can't keep relying on 2 month mercenary hires from the past to mix it up either.

cena/punk will eventually get stale. Id like to see a sheamus/punk and a cena/ryback program

Maybe just a little bit, but nothing too major. Certainly not on the levels of Cena.

Sort of, but they are lacking stars and Punk is the most viable option at the time.

There was a small window to elevate Sheamus and maybe unified the belts. Who had the main event star credibility then, But they put it on ice, in favor of pushing AJ.

Idk about you but you can see how they've gone out of their way to protect Punk and future programs with other top guys.
