You really think their 1 point reps has helped me reach 8000+ points?

Punk and his dull, boring and long reign is my number 1 problem with this company. So yeah, I can honestly say he is rammed down my throat. He made me miss Cena as WWE Champion, that's how terrible he is. And all this bashing is coming from somebody who once was a Punk fan.

Now, RAW has fans to lose, and its losing em. And it has no competition. So logically, its much much worse than it was in 1997. A 2.2 with no competition is worse than a 2.2 with gargantuan Time Warner competition. It's like being turned down by a prostitute.

CM Punk was rammed down our throats. And this is worse than even Cena being rammed down our throats. Because Cena ia a guy you can love to hate. Punk can neither solicit hate nor excitment. He can solicit neither heat nor pops. Dead heat is worse than bad heat. Cena has X-Pac heat, which is WAY higher up the status chain than dead heat.

Punk's 400+ days title run is more interesting than every Cena's title run...

Agreed. I don't really understand the ratings war here.

No, CM Punk was definitely not shoved down our throats in 2012. In complete honesty, Punk needed more emphasis on him in 2012, more than what he got anyway.

In 2012, CM Punk was definitely a top star. But he always played 2nd fiddle to John Cena. CM Punk was the WWE Champion the entire year: did he main event Wrestlemania with Jericho? No. Did John Cena? Yes. Now this is in no way CM Punk's fault as Vince and creative simply booked more of John Cena's matches as the main event. It's gotten to the point where Cena is bigger than the WWE Championship. He doesn't need it anymore. Punk has done more with this single title reign than Cena has done with multiple.

Back on topic, Punk didn't main event Elimination Chamber, he didn't main event Wrestlemania, he didn't main event Extreme Rules, Over the Limit, No Way Out, Money in the Bank, or Summerslam. Until Punk turned heel, he didn't main event any PPV's. You want to know who main evented all those other shows other than Summerslam? John Cena.

I think I rest my case.

It's funny how so many people talk about fast forwarding through this and that and only stop at the main promos/matches. Then, when ratings come out, they blame the low ratings on the sections of the show that they only watch. The show, overall, has been at a declining quality. Compounded with the lack of interest and stigma of pro wrestling, you're inevitably going to see declining ratings. Will there ever be another wrestling boom? I wouldn't count on it with today's cynical and skeptic generation that will question the motive of anything and everything. Pro wrestling is becoming obsolete entertainment.

People don't tune in or out to see one person. And if they are doing that, than it says a lot about the quality of the overall writing. It's no surprise people don't want to watch 3 hours of RAW when in 90% of the show nothing happens (yet despite that the show still feels rushed which says a lot).
