500 days of Punk?
 

cm punk has now held the title for 420 days.
IF he wins at RR, EC & WM the night after wrestlemania he would of held the title for 499 days, do you think its possible that he will loose the title on this episode of raw, just 1 day shy of a 500 day reign?

Although I want Punk to win at RR, I think Rock will win. However lets just say Punk retains, then goes into WM as Champ. He will most likely lose at WM.

Saying this, I do like your idea. I have always wanted a really well booked rivalry where a champ retains at WM only to lose on Raw the night afterwards, just for the hype. Your idea is a pretty good one, but I can't see this being the year it happens.

I like Punk, but it's time to drop the belt, and WWE has a great guy to take it off him, in the Rock. CM Punk can afford to be away from the belt after WrestleMania, I just hope they don't give him some garbage re-match, and not allow him a one-on-one match up in a return for the title, either at Elimination Chamber, or WrestleMania.

500 is such an arbitrary number. The next big milestone is 1027, to catch Pedro Morales. getting to 500 is just a random number, and helps no one, not even Punk.

The deal is if Punk, by some chance doesn't beat Rock at Royal Rumble, he's losing it at Wrestlemania, not Elimination Chamber. That being said, I think it's a very safe bet that Rock's taking the title off of Punk at Rumble.

By the way, I count 504 days by the night of Wrestlemania if Punk retains the title to that point.

He won't make it past the 27th, let alone make it to WM with the belt. Somebody has to take the fall, and sadly, it has to be Punk (unless they really do go with Rock and Brock). I rather Rock do it then anyone else though

the main reason that Punk is losing the belt is because WWE does not want to get shackled and imprisoned by yet another beast they cannot control. Much like Undertaker's Wrestlemania STREAK where it has taken a life of its own

CM Punk's reign is still controllable. You can still slay that dragon in its infancy and who better than the greatest WWE superstar of all-time?

This pretty much giftwraps the perfect opportunity to Vince McMahon and you bet he'll do it because it literally is the perfect scenario
- you get to slay "the streak" in its infancy
- the biggest draw ever gets to do it
- people will eat it up
- historical royal rumble returns

I don't think the Rock is the perfect guy. He's not going to be wrestling on house shows and he's not going to be wrestling on TV. I don't think we're going to see the Rock doing the media events for the WWE all the time like Punk and Cena do. If they put the belt on the Rock at the Royal Rumble the basically don't have a WWE champion until Wrestlemania.
