Re: Does CM Punk inpsire you?

He inspired me to have the will not to watch the terrible year that was 2012. That's at least something to thank him for I guess.

Totally, I wished Daniel Bryan was booked the same way, his rivalry against Mark Henry could have been gold but sadly, it's the Money In The Bank....
But yeah, Benoit's character is truly inspirational. The guy who fought all his life and in the end , he wins the tile. You don't see celebration like he did at WM XX now. It's almost if some guys in the roster don't care about the tile

Punk, a little bit. His lifestyle of being straight-edge actually inspired me not to drink alcohol when I was peer pressured.

I recently had a beef with one of my ex gfs boyfriends, this dude is twice as big as me, I saw this as basically a CM Punk vs. Ryback feud, and thought it was cool to have a guy twice as big as me wanting to kick my ass, but me wanting to be like Punk and go all in while playing chicken shit and smart at the same time.

I know I cant be the only one, does CM Punk inspire you one way or another? If I may quote Paul Heyman...If my son grows up to be like CM Punk, I will know I have done a good job.
Trolling or just immature nerd?

Re: Does CM Punk inpsire you?

I like him as a wrestler and performer but does he inspire? Of course he fucking doesn't, there are not many qualities he possesses that would be useful in real life situations, in fact most of his qualities would be negative in real life situations.

Re: Does CM Punk inpsire you?

Well, in all honesty, Cena and The Rock are the top 2 guys that inspire me?

Rocky seems so cheerful and collected despite his busy schedule; while Cena's "rise above the hate" is quite genuine, especially when I'm doing my undergraduate thesis alone right now.

As for CM Punk, it's pretty much the opposite. I used to be the type of guy who likes to push buttons and pierce hearts with my honesty... but it's socially aggressive and sometimes drives people away. I live in a conservative and sensitive culture by the way so being a CM Punk here is equivalent to being a serial killer (we won't even have serial killers here either).

Re: Does CM Punk inpsire you?

I think Foley was the last guy I'd term inspirational as a child and presently as an adult. He took a "thimble's worth of athleticism" and made it to the top of his profession as a legend and to my mind is the most engaging series of characters and mic work in wrestling. Ever.

Then as an adult you keep seeing him doing charities and he's collectively raised millions for sexual abuse survivors, Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami, Haiti, his charity work in Africa, etc. What a nice man. You get to your 20s and 30s and you start reading all the TRUE STORIES about 90 percent of the guys you loved. Austin is a legitimate court-ordered-to-not-drink alcoholic and likely woman beater, HBK and Hogan are two of the biggest cunts of all time, etc.

Never anything like that with Foley.
Foley could play a heel without honestly being kind of an asshole as a person. CM Punk is an asshole. Talented out the, well, ass, but I think he's a mean and unpleasant person for the most part.

So no, Punk doesn't inspire me.
