Should Jerry Lawler go back to being a heel commentator?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I feel the need to say to that Jerry Lawler should go back to being a heel commentator. I think he's better off as a heel than a face. Anyone else feel the same?

Re: Should Jerry Lawler go back to being a heel commentator?

Watching raws from the late 90s and early 2000s he was absolute gold I think he was heel then so if he can be anything like he was back then, then yes but itll be hard because of the whole heart attack thing people will refuse to boo him. Most people on this forum hate him atm so theres a start I guess.

After the heart attack there's no chance of that happening.

Lawler should always be the heel on commentary though. Always.

Yeah, I think due to his time spent behind the desk combined with the recent heart attack and comeback, Lawler is a perma-face.

At this stage, it doesn't matter if he's a heel or a face personally, I'd prefer not to hear him regardless.

Yeah, I think it's time for him to hang up the headsets and retire. It would be nice to see one more heel run, though.

Re: Should Jerry Lawler go back to being a heel commentator?

It's not even being heel or face, it's the energy he puts in (i'm talking about way before his heart attack btw)

Watching back to 2001, he had input in every segment and seemed engrossed in what he was commenting on. Fast forward to last year, he's just a lot more down and uninterested.

Awaiting the 2012 flaming,

He should go home and never return, he's absolutely dreadful.

No. JBL is IMO filling heel commentator's role perfectly.

Re: Should Jerry Lawler go back to being a heel commentator?

I've a lot of respect for the man, but to be honest, I'd like him to call it quits if anything. Heel or face, I think he's past it. Problem is they'll struggle for a replacement. I don't see Josh as the one to fill his boots. Maybe they could stick with JBL, although I doubt if he's gonna stay for a very long time. Lawler has been dire on commentary for quite sometime now even before his heart attack.

Re: Should Jerry Lawler go back to being a heel commentator?

He doesn't need to turn heel, he needs to just pack up and retire.

I don't mind him being a part of the WWE because he is a legend, maybe do something else in the back but he needs to just get off commentary, he really does. Just no passion for it any more.
