I'd rather a slow burn face turn for Dolph over the next year rather than a Miz/Del Rio turn

Let him properly get the show off gimmick over and in time that will naturally turn him face

I do like Ziggler as a heel, but I still think he's more suited to being a heel, and I think the AJ/Ziggler partnership has a lot more in it.

I fear they'll turn him into another John Morrison though. Suddenly turn him face, strip him of any character, not give him any mic time and try to rely on ring work alone to make him popular with the crowd.

That ought to be pretty easy since it doesn't exist.

Trying to get Ziggler over with his ring work instead of mic work is a good idea too. That mic work ain't getting over.

They need to do it before Mania, he's gunna get cheered like crazy in NJ.

The crowd will shit on the Orton/Sheamus WH title match with 'We Want Ziggler' chants anyway.

Live show reports tend to tell us that Ziggler is in fact over. He does get heat. Trying to rely on ring work alone really never works, especially if the crowd have nothing or no reason to get behind a face and without mic time to try to get a character over they really don't have much of a reason to cheer or give any reaction.

A generic heel is always better than a generic face. You can at least determine that Ziggler is cocky, confident, he shows off, he takes short cuts etc. A face without any characteristics...you can only really describe him as being a 'good guy', it's far more easy to get cheat heel heat than try to get the crowd to cheer you.
