This is total stupidity, Ryback as a heel is utterly ridiculous at this time frame in the WWE. Too many faces for a start, and the build to Ryback would be totally useless...Ryback is an asskicking machine..Goldberg like..yes, but who gives a dam, he is great, and to have a face to rely on is great in this era.
Well, the whole issue I thought was too many faces and too little heels, in the main event at least. Del Rio, Sheamus, Cena, Orton (supposedly will turn heel soon, dunno), Miz (if he's a main eventer) are all faces, and for heels we only have Big Show, CM Punk, and Dolph Ziggler (if he's a main eventer). So if we're gonna turn Ziggler face, someone's gotta turn heel soon.
Ryback is just like Lesnar in that he's a scary, unstoppable monster who's not that good on the mic, so just make him a scary monster: a heel. In general its easier to play heels, just be an asshole; 18 different ways to be an asshole, but its very hard to be a face. You're the main character, you carry the story, you have to inspire and entertain with your mic skills. Heels just have to be assholes and insult the crowd or insult/attack the hero. I think Ryback is capable of that. I like Ryback, but he's a perfect example of why a lot of guys enter the main event as heels first even though they become faces later: Angle, Rock, Lesnar, Big Show, Triple H, Khali, Miz, Kane, Jericho, Edge, Del Rio. Its just easier, generally.
