True. Same with Rock and that little song and dance he does before that elbow drop - stop playing to the crowd and just drop the elbow! That's what wrasslin' is all about damnit...
Showmanship is important in this game, surely you guys realise this?
Sure it isn't the greatest display of showmanship but he's trying - better than just doing the move, plain and simple - not adding any twists of his own to it.

Re: You know what Ryback needs to drop?
I'd want him to get a whole new finisher altogether but as long as he's sticking with that one, the walk around the ring is a decent build up and act of showmanship, it would look weak as hell without it.

Re: You know what Ryback needs to drop?
The march reminds me of R-truth where he was in canada and doing that promo in a 'mounty' costume or w/e you call a red dressed canadian officer...

Re: You know what Ryback needs to drop?
Agreed. The march needs to go. He should yell or something before he drops the guy.

Re: You know what Ryback needs to drop?
Yeah, the march is a little awkward. I don't think it's as bad as when he first debuted but it's still a little goofy for a monster.

He needs to stop dropping to his knees and giving Vince head.

Re: You know what Ryback needs to drop?
The march is a bit silly, if they're going to push him as a main eventer I agree, he should drop it.

The People's Elbow is pretty silly as well, even if it's backed up with The Rock's charisma. His Rock Bottom is far, far better in my opinion and he manages to make that special without the silly theatrics.
And Ryback isn't the kind of showman that The Rock is, he's supposed to be a monster. Therefor he should bring more intensity and danger rather than showing off, especially with a march that looks a bit child like. His wind up to his meat hook clothesline looks much better to me (although I personally find the "feed me more" chants ruining the moment for the same sillyness reason).
If I had my way I'd just have Ryback pick up his opponent, look intense, perhaps while shouting, and then just drop him. I would also have used his "feed me..." as a more direct catch phrase (like Goldberg's "you're next") rather than him being a chanting cheerleader.
