WWE officials were very impressed with Dolph Ziggler’s performance in the match against John Cena on the January 7th RAW.

Not only did Ziggler receive high marks from officials, but John Cena was heard telling people about how smooth Ziggler worked the match and how he never has a bad match. There’s a feeling that 2013 will be a big year for Ziggler after all.
Great news for Ziggler. Continuing to show the world (pun intended) that hes has what it takes to becoming a top main eventer. Hopefully WWE sticks with pushing Ziggler given their bi-polar booking where they'll push someone to the main event scene and then drop them back into the mid-card scene for whatever reason. Ziggler has all the tools to becoming the real deal and 2013 will definitely be his year.

THAT'S NOT A FUCKING PUN!!!

Why must people always say pun intended or pun not intended every time they think they said something clever.

Cena feuding with Ziggler is not going well for anyone. I'm a Ziggler fan too, but when someone feuds with the Undertaker, he in a weird way brings them to his level, even if they lose they end up looking like a threat. With Cena, I just don't see that same vibe.

The whole angle makes no sense too, I dunno what it will take for Ziggler, but pairing him with some NXT guy who ends up overshadowing him wasn't the right idea and the two have no chemistry... then again, they do need the next monster/cartoonish looking heel that will feud with Cena for a month or two before jobbing to him. Still though, feels like they are going in the wrong direction with Ziggler here.

And yet Cena goes and buries Ziggler on RAW and kills most of his momentum... i didn't know this is news worthy but it's not surprising he got praised by WWE officials.

I remember Cena saying Barrett will be going places and is a great talent on TV only to bury him on SD. I will never forget that image of Cena having Wade up for the AA and he just stood their smiling before delivering it.
Ziggler does have great matches, his match with Punk on Raw last year was amazing.

He won the most recent PPV main event against John Cena, via interference, which is how heels win. Cena's taken far more clean losses than Austin and Rock ever took (including a clean loss to a retired Rock), so he doesn't need more clean losses. And, a clean loss to Ziggler would ruin Ziggler's heat since he's already got so much love. Main eventing against Cena, and dirty beating Cena, is how WWE has promoted heel after heel in this company, be it Edge or CM Punk or even Batista in 2010. Its face vs. heel, no matte r

If Cena is gonna lose clean, I do think it should be to Ziggler, just put it in a weird match type (like Sheamus over Cena in the WWE title tables match). Ziggler does need that push, but I wouldn't describe what's going on now as burying him. For a heel, this is heavy, heavy promotion. Also, he's a small heel. Only monster heels win main events clean, like Henry over Orton and Big Show over Sheamus. Small, 6 ft heels getting clean wins over top face is pretty much unheard of, the whole pt of that kind of character is to be the sneaky bastard.

I loved Ziggler's match against Cena (and the Wednesday match against Sheamus), I'd say he's ready. I just hope he gives Del Rio SOME time with the strap.
