Re: Antonio Cesaro is going to be "the best"

Statements like "He's already delivering better promos than 75% of the roster" are just so over-exaggerated in my opinion. What exact exactly has he said that's so amazing? He's just cutting the geenric heel Amercia sucks promos. There's nothing special to them yet all of a sudden he's cutting better promos than 75% of the roster? Honestly, 75% of the roster doesn't even cut promos for Christ's sake. He hasn't been put in a position for him to cut any promo worth talking about. Is promos are the same generic crap week in and week out. His promos don't say anything.

I'll tell you Ryback (despite thinking he was a total tool at first) has IT. He's one over motherfucker. If that isn't IT, then I don't know what is. Oh wait, I forgot- DAT WORKRATE. Silly me, how can I forget. The most important thing in pro wrestling, is wrestling duh! It's called wrestling for a reason, cause that's what matters! That's why Tyson Kidd should be WWE champion.

Cesaro is just so young in his career for me to make a statement like "He's the next big thing" The guy hasn't done anything and most importantly, to me, he just doesn't cut it. I remember when I first saw Ziggler back in '08 and from the very moment I saw him I said "This guy will go places" I like to think I have an eye for talent because 9 out of 10 times the guy who I do say will make it, actually make it! The majority of posters around here however, not so much. Whatever happened to that next Shawn Michaels guy? Or the dude with long hair from Scotland? What about that guy who used to jump off ladders every MITB match? Or how about the more charismatic guy from Legacy?

So yeah, like I said 9 out of 10 times and maybe Cesaro is that 1 out 10 to prove me wrong. Right now, I don't see much of a future for him. He's dull. And like I said, you're springboard uppercuts can only get you so far. So yeah, I would feel like an idiot of Cesaro does in fact make it.But shit, 90% of the times I'm usually right on this shit. Not to toot my own horn, no wait I mean to toot my own damn horn. Toot, toot.

Ryback gets a reaction, although I wouldn't say he has the "IT" factor.
Did I say necessarily that his in ring skills will make him a star? No. I said his in ring skills will get him over and they do. I also clearly said that his mic works can use work as well because certain promos he does sound very bland and not coordinated. So Cesaro would need fine tuning still in the WWE world but once so, dude can go if they give him the ball.

Re: Antonio Cesaro is going to be "the best"

Can I just point out one thing?

The crowd chanting "Miz is awesome" during the match. I thought it was really low of Miz to even mention and if I was in shoes it's something I would have ignored. I thought it was very unprofessional.

But, people, the WWE Universe has spoken. Miz as new US champ please. Please, no more than US! Good God, the last thing I want is Miz as a top dog again.

Cesaro is just one of those situations where time alone can tell. Cesaro supporters could continue cheering while those who are not so found of him could continue doing whatever it is they do during a Cesaro match. For me, it's watch it, like it, then forget all about it.

Re: Antonio Cesaro is going to be "the best"

I've watched wrestling since Wrestlemania III and in my book, Cesaro has "it" in the ring. Other than Kurt Angle in his absolute prime, Cesaro reminds me so much of young Scotty Steiner in terms of the combination of crisp moves with explosive speed and power. His moveset is awesome, right up there with the best. His only downfall right now is that his character sucks and he's not great on the mic yet. To me, Cesaro is basically in the same position Steve Austin was in as the Ringmaster minus the promo skills.

Benoit got over almost entirely on his in-ring skills and intensity. I believe Cesaro is headed to the top of the card and fairly quickly to boot. I can't wait till he faces off against Bryan and Punk in singles PPV matches to come. The Alpine Waterslide he did on Sheamus and the Street Fighter Bison-esque flying corkscrew European uppercut on Khali both made me gasp. He's doing moves that are relatively unseen in the annals of WWE history, which make him such an exciting in-ring presence. It's a shame he is saddled with a stale gimmick.

I get that that sounds really cynical, and maybe that takes it too far, but most ppl on the roster really can't play that great of a character. I feel like an idiot for going through the roster like this, but w/e, if you disagree go ahead.

Better talker than Cesaro: Punk, Big Show, Sheamus, John Cena, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Miz, Undertaker, Triple H, Randy Orton, Rock. I think those 13 guys are the only guys who are better on the microphone than Cesaro, a WWE rookie.

Who else would we place there? Del Rio (big fan)? Seth Rollins? Kane? I wouldn't place them there. Heck, I could even believe that Cesaro's a better talker than Sheamus (big fan of his), Cena, Miz, Barrett, and Orton, but I'll defer to their popularity and just concede that they're great at what they do.

Cesaro really is a great talker. I hate to make the pt by kinda insulting the roster, but that's the reality of wrestling. Mic skills are rare, and Cesaro's got it.

WWE favorites: Punk, Sheamus, Lesnar, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns,
Del Rio, Orton, Bryan, Ziggler, Wyatt, Usos, Cesaro, Mysterio, Kane
DGPW: Doi, Yoshino, Tozawa, Yamato, Dragon Kid, BxB Hulk, Ricochet, Super Shisa
NJPW: Okada, Nakamura, Styles ROH: Briscoes, Fish and O'Reilly, Young Bucks
All-Time: Rock, Punk, Lesnar, Angle

Re: Antonio Cesaro is going to be "the best"

Hes gonna lose the us title to the miz and then be in a 20 man battle royal dark match at WM and get eliminated by the great khali... Sadly, I give this scenario a 50-50 chance

2106 in 2013

Top 5: Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Tyson Kidd, Shield
Top 5 All Time: Triple H, HBK, Mr. Perfect, SCSA, Scott Hall

My responses are directed towards your quote. You didn't say anything about his promo skills or fine tuning. You said that his ring work will do the talking and that if he wanted to be over he would be. I retorted to THAT quote. So...yeah.

How many threads do we need on this guy? I like the guy as much as the next person, but Jesus people. He the charisma of a dead fish, and his only skill are in the the ring. That is it. End of discussion.

Re: Antonio Cesaro is going to be "the best"

has more than enoguh potential to be a real top start but would agree but agree the MIC work & personality needs to improve. If the Iron Sheik can become WWE Champion then why can't Cesaro?
