Re: Michael Cole's laughter

Which reminds me. How stupid am I at thinking his near death experience would wake him up from the zombie like malaise he's been in since JR left. I actually thought King would be more edgy when he came back. Stupid me. He's actually worse than he was before.

How is that even possible?

You would think that people who had been in the business for as long as Cole would understand that you aren't supposed to 'laugh' during serious wrestling promos. In fact that goes for the whole company, it's not stand-up comedy, as great as he was I sometimes think The Rock's legacy is actually a negative one because now you get clowns like Cena and Sheamus who focus more on making puerile jokes and trying to be 'entertaining' than actually selling feuds and matches, and the likes of Cole and McMahon back that up with their stupid attitude. It's unfathomable to me that after so many years, WWE seems to have completely forgotten what a wrestling show is supposed to be about, and can so badly mishandle almost everything that happens. Wrestling is entertaining, 'entertainment' is not wrestling. The company has turned into a parody of itself.

I don't even think that he truly has any passion left for the product. He's been getting worse and worse since JR was moved to Smackdown.

It's the old argument, that you cannot argue with success. And the Rock was successful. The problem is, you cannot catch lightning in a bottle, and the Rock worked, because at that time, he was refreshing. Vince saw $$$, and keeps trying to replicate it.

Mind you, when was the last serious face at the top of the pile? Chris Beniot??? I suppose you could say Orton, but his face run saw him depushed and injured/suspended.

Your opinions don't matter. I am right and everyone one not agreeing with me is a troll, or an idiot.

(Typical poster thought process)

Dont forget that King is the same man that tweeted a picture of himself eating junk food a day or two after he suffered a heart attack. All while flipping off the camera at the same time.

Those 2 months without King on commentary were like a dream come true.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

Every time he fake laughs, I want to punch him right in his pig face.

When he started doing it during The Rock's comeback on Punk, I was like "Shut the fuck up! Don't you make a fucking sound during this!"

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

I was actually sayin to some friends during the show that if the Punk V Ryback match was called by JR and Tazz it would have made that shit even more amazing.
As for Cole he is just a guy that has gotten by for waaaay too long, and teaming with Lawler (and his shit jokes) is just painful. its like they dont build either character in the ring, and as JR and Paule will tell you when you in the booth YOU are hyping these characters when it matters most.

to me Cole just sounds like hes taking up the ass when he uses his signaute OOOOOOOOHHHH MYYYYYYYY!! 3

“Look, let’s start with some tough love. You two suck at peddling meth. Period. Did you not plan for this contingency? I mean even the Starship Enterprise had a self-destruct button.... I'm just saying.” –

It's a basic skill of commentating. Knowing when to shut the hell up and let the action speak for itself.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

agreed - they killed Rock's funniest joke which was the Popeye on crack but they were probably told to laugh as the crowd didn't react to that joke
