Re: Michael Cole's laughter

I have to wonder how much of it is Vince telling him what to do/say. I remember listening to a former WWE writer talking about how Vince demanded people be seen and heard laughing at everything DX did in 2006 at all times, I imagine this would be quite similar.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

Cole and King got butthurt over what Punk said so Cole had to do that fake laughter and king had to jab back at Punk during the promo

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

The Rock is a funny guy but last night he was wide of the mark and made stupid jokes whilst CM Punk aired real problems in an intense promo. What made it worse was having to listen to Michael Cole and JKL do their fake laughter any time The Rock side stepped the argument with school yard jokes.

CM Punk - Dolph Ziggler - Daniel Bryan - Cody Rhodes - Damien Sandow - Seth Rollins - Wade Barrett - Dean Ambrose - Roman Reigns - Christian - Alberto Del Rio

Shawn Michaels - Stone Cold - Chris Jericho - The Undertaker - Bret Hart - Roddy Piper -- Mick Foley

Yokozuna - British Bulldog - Macho Man Randy Savage - Eddie Guerrero

Samoa Joe - Bully Ray - Sting - Austin Aries

Paul Heyman - Jim Cornette - Paul Bearer

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

Maybe they just found The Rocks material really funny. Did you ever think of that??

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

It was annoying but I was too invested in the promo to care.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

Cole laughing is sometimes funny. When Khali was trying to sing Merry Christmas, Cole couldn't hold it in. That was funny.

That has got to be Kane.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

In 14 years doing commentary, Cole has not bothered to learn the names of any wrestling moves. "CONNECTS!" "CENA NOW, CENA NOWWW!!!" "OH WHAT A THROW!!". Worse than this, is his incessant plugging and recapping. Cole is, to put it simply, an awful play-by-play. A play-by-play must know the career of each wrestler intimately. His height, weight, moveset, victories and so forth. J.R. was good at selling the wrestler, when you did that, you inadvertantly sold the match.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

He has to sit next to Lawler all night, even The Rock's painfully unfunny humour must be refreshing.

Re: Michael Cole's laughter

While watching that Rock/Punk promo, I didn't even notice Cole or Lawler. Wish they'd bring back JR for these feuds or at least let JBL do Raw and Smackdown. Much better than listening to Cole & Lawler.
