Re: Any Rock fans cringe last night?
I never thought I'll hear myself say this but 'CM Punk was BETTER than Rocky' last night. Rock was just a bore fest.

Re: Any Rock fans cringe last night?
the guy isnt doing it week in week out so rusty maybe? its a new era he used to be an attitude era guy. so obviously him coming back every now and again is gonna be tough he could adapt but the fact is he is still better than punk. i dont care what some off you guys think. its my opinion the rock is still better than the current roster.

Totally, Rock playing like it's 1999 is so pathetic and out dated... it's ridiculous.

Man, Rock has ALWAYS been corny as a comedic face at times. Shit works, and people love it. You are just growing up and your taste has changed. It happens.
The majority of the fans want to see him act like that. Thats who The Rock is. They dont want him standing in the ring talking about Twitter all day, being exposed for some apparent wrist notes, stumbling over words, and drinking water. They want that ol corny bastard they grew up watching. And they got him. Add some seriousness to hype his opponent and build the match, throw in a Rock Bottom. Boom! Thought it was great and much better than Rock as of late.

Boom! This is The Rock. People are just bitching just for the sake of bitching.

Rock was perfect in that segment, so was Punk.

The only redeeming thing about his promo last night was 20 hairs on your straight edge scrotum. That line had me in stitches.

Honestly I think that might be it. The Rock's overall presence has matured since coming back so his jokes seem a bit more corny.

Re: Any Rock fans cringe last night?
The Rock is known for his comedic insults and stuff like that. I enjoyed the segment and I don't think Rock needs to change his style since the crowd responds to him every time.

Re: Any Rock fans cringe last night?
I honestly thought the Rock was great he had tons of intensity to begin with. Like most, I cringed at the Cookie Puss thing; I think an asshole chant would have been much better but pg is pg. By the end of the promo he had the intensity back and he put punk, himself and the rumble over like a boss. CM Punk was also excellent. For people arguing over who won, the answer is we won. This is shaping up to be a great feud and already shits on Rock/Cena.

Re: Any Rock fans cringe last night?
I thought the promo between the two was great. Yeah the cookie puss thing was kinda average, but everything else was gold imo. Both men were intense and much better than any Rock/Cena promos. My fave part was the "It doesn't matter that you matter!" That just had me laughing like hell for some reason. Also enjoyed the "Boxing with God" from CM Punk.

Re: Any Rock fans cringe last night?
"Cookie Puss" was so, so lame and goofy, but most of the rest of his promo, and his intensity throughout, were fantastic. I preferred this than the "I'm gonna laugh and act like nothing matters" vibe to the Rock-Cena feud.
