Except I'm not hating and I didn't mean to derail the thread intentionally. But yeah, nice pointless contribution.

Probably.

Re: Daniel "The Dazzler" Bryan

It's weird that Nostalgia would pick a video from TLC to make his point about Bryan being nothing but a comedy character. The crowd was enormously invested in every single one of his shine spots, and not in a Santino-esque "ooh, wouldn't it be funny" way. That he's versatile enough to do comedy and kick ass in the ring is a point in his favour, not some black stain that's doomed his career.

All of that said, I really hope "The Dazzler" remains a funny concept in a dotcom interview, because that would tip the scales. But right now, he's fine. Better than most, I'd say.

Actually it's not weird. I chose that video because it was the only one I could find of Bryan doing that move with his recent character, but he does the same old routine in every match, It's just a shame that WWE is taking so many videos down recently that it's hard to find one to prove a point. if I had a choice, I would of chosen a video with much better quality, but that's all I could find. And I didn't compare him to Santino, and he's not at that level where you can 100% not take him serious, but he does do comedy in matches now and I was just correcting a poster who claimed Bryan is 100% serious in the ring, when he's not.

Re: Daniel "The Dazzler" Bryan

"The Dazzler" sounds like something Dolph Ziggler would use. It doesn't match Daniel Bryan at all.

The Dazzler Dolph Ziggler. Has a nice rhyme to it.

I guess I just don't get how kicks = comedy. Yes, he shouts No sometimes. Rocky spits on his hand before he smacks you. Cena does the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. What point are we proving?

It's not kicks = comedy. It's how he acts when performing them, shouting NO while doing them every time, his ridiculous facial expressions and mannerisms, it's comedy, the crowd get a laugh out. Nothing wrong with really if you like that kind of stuff, but I can't take him seriously when he does it. Rock and Cena aren't comedy characters, if you don't think Bryan's a comedy character atm then you're kidding yourself. And it seems from what I've read, that Bryan fans are split on it. Half seem to like him in this current role, but the other half think he should drop the comedy and be pushed in a more serious role and booked better, I don't blame those people.

Re: Daniel "The Dazzler" Bryan

there's type of comedy but with Bryan is like Kurt Angle kind of comedy not santino type of comedy...Kurt Angle is funny and he kick ass in the ring which people can take him seriously just like Bryan.

I didn't say you were hating. Heck, I agree with your opinion about Bryan not being similar to Angle, though I disagree with your assertion of Bryan being comedic in the ring. What I said you were a hater. And that's okay. You're a hater, and I'm a fanboy. That's just our opinions and biases. Also, I very much doubt that you didn't know you would derail the thread. I think anyone with some self-awareness would know that a long post that's off topic will at least slightly derail the thread.

Re: Daniel "The Dazzler" Bryan

He's like a mix of Kurt Angle and The Hurricane, I love it!

He needs to wear his hair like that permanently.

I realise where they're going and that WWE will push Roman Reigns straight to the top. However for me, Dean Ambrose is by far the most talented in that group and I think eventually if they just give him the spotlight then he's going to shine. As soon as he touches a mic everyone else can just sit down as he's magic on it. So It remains to be seen, I think they're all talented but to me Dean was the star of that group. I think Roman looks like the star of that group but I don't think he's nearly as talented as Dean.
