His facial expressions are hilarious! Opening the interview with a creepy stare. The Dazzler is so damn great.

100% agreed here - we know he kicks ass in the ring - so, they can have him do whatever he wants outside of it.

I have a feeling this is DB just going "Screw this - let's have some fun!"

I bet you in two months max the Arenas will reverberate with "Dazzler" chants (Dat Royalties!)

The Kurt Angle comparisons have got to stop. Yes Kurt could be a comedy character at times, but people took him 100% seriously because he was much more credible, looked more credible, had beaten some of the top talent in the business, had more charisma and intensity than Bryan could ever wish could have, and never really let his comedy side get into his matches. Bryan isn't completely serious in the ring, you're wrong KeepingItReal. Bryan's very comedy in the ring these days, just take this video for example (apologies for the bad quality):

Bryan does that practically ever match these days, along with stopping to shout ''NO'' at random times at the crowd that disrupts the pace of a match. I can't take him seriously at all when he does it, and I know I'm not the only one. Bryan's be reduced to those comedy kicks and only a few other moves in his matches these days and it's sad to see because he's such a great wrestler. You know what Bryan I could take seriously? The one who put on a match of the year quality match with Punk at Over The Limit 2012, where he wasn't be restricted in the ring and he didn't let comedy ruin his matches.

With all due respect my friend, your opinion does not equal fact, just like mine doesn't. I have a couple friends who look back on Kurt Angle's awesomeness and feel he was never really a good mic worker, just a good wrestler. That right there is why I can see just how subjective some opinions can be. What's crap to you may be amazing to many others. I think Kurt Angle comparisons are spot on and a friend of mine today just mentioned them to me as yet another person making them. The fact is Daniel Bryan is one talented individual, and he obviously possesses some kind of "IT" factor in his character or so many people wouldn't be making those comparisons and entire crowds wouldn't come alive for him, his segments, and his matches if he didn't.

Kurt Angle was someone who was seen as great in everything by the "majority" and the same can be said about Bryan at this stage in his career. It can be argued for sure but looking at crowds, merch sales, many casual fans opinions, and the majority of people on here, I'd say it's a fair comparison.

I never said it was. Obviously I'm just giving my opinion, but there are a few facts in my post that I can highlight that Bryan didn't beat the caliber of talent that Angle did. Angle beat The Rock, Austin, Undertaker, they were the top talent in the business at the time, in the current WWE Bryan hasn't been any top guys (at least not cleanly like Angle did, countout and DQ victories over guys like Punk don't count). And because of those credible wins over top guys, among many other things that I listed, people could take Kurt Angle seriously at any moment, despite any comedy that he might do from time to time, unlike Bryan.

I don't think anyone is saying that Bryan is Angle, so I don't see why the comparisons have the stop. If you can't see the similarities, you're probably looking too closely. He's not the exact same model as Angle, but Bryan has a lot of similar qualities.

Looking at the booking of the two doesn't take away from what people are drawing from. Daniel Bryan is the best technical wrestler on the roster, yet has a character that is serious, over-the-top, goofy, and fun. Kurt Angle was the best mat wrestler on the roster, yet had a character that was serious, over-the-top, goofy, and fun.

Except Bryan character's isn't serious at all. You're missing my point which is, people could take Angle 100% seriously when needed, despite the comedy he did, people can't do that with Bryan for numerous reasons that I listed.

One of them was a legitimate main eventer that was utilized as a corner stone of a brand for several years and the other is a legitmate midcarder filling a roster space with no real focus, promotion, or glorification of where his character goes as a face or heel.

One of them was constantly put over by his peers and the announcers as being someone with appeal whether it be his legitimate credentials or his kayfabe ones. The other one has always been belittled by different announcers his entire tenure in the company, with the recent being a babyface that you're supposed to laugh at as encouraged by either goat references, physical unattractiveness, or simply being unappealing from said announcers.

I do have one question for anyone who might feel that Dwayne Johnson "owes" the business. Is it just him, or is it anyone who moved on to other things? Should Luna Vachon get heat for running a towing company instead of working on RAW? Should Maven be critiqued on his Home Shopping Network bits instead of wrestling?

Or is it only the ones who go on to highly visible careers in movies that owe something? Why do Johnson (who left after putting people over, doing the traditionally "right thing") and Lesnar (who did not; except for making Eddie a legitimate star) get called sell-outs who "forgot where they came from" when someone who retires to do some regular job get credit (as they should) for moving on and making it without falling into a sea of addiction?

Nobody else will take Bryan seriously if he doesn't take himself seriously. He seems to have embraced the comedic role in the wwe, probably figuring after all the years of putting his body through hell in ROH and the indies that adopting a comedy role means he can stay over and work powder puff matches while still getting paid more in one year than he made on the indies his whole career.
