AJ could be hugely beneficial to Dolph if they are both handled correctly. Langston is just the 3rd awkward wheel who really shouldn't be there. Does he need them though? Not in my mind, the guy could definitely go solo.

Does Punk need Paul Heyman and the Shield helping him get every win?

This is just life for a champion heel whose not over 400 pounds. They need that outside interference to justify a victory over Cena or Orton etc. At least in WWE's eyes but you can disagree with that sentiment all you want it's just not going to change.

I do think it's funny that he's got a poor man's Mr. Hughes helping him out though. Not going to end well.

Are you doubting Dolph Fucking Ziggler out of everyone in that pathetic thing Vince calls the WWE locker room? Dolph is one of the only wrestlers I like nowadays and I'll probably only begin watching again when he is WWE/World Champion.

The guy could have went solo years ago. It's a damn shame they have paired AJ and even Langston with him. I just don't understand it really. What a waste.

It's good to have a valet sometimes. Hell, it worked for Edge with Lita, with Vickie, Chavo, Bam, Hawkins and Rider. Orton and Legacy. Triple H and Chyna. Triple H and Stephanie.

Edge was only just breaking into the main event when he was with Lita, he was ultimately better when he was rid of her, I hated Edge when he was with Vickie too. Orton was better on his own too as a heel. Triple H had Chyna because he was irrelevant and it was a great way to get Chyna on TV, plus they were part of one of the best stables in WWE history and with Stephanie, well, it's his wife.

Ziggler was with Vickie for years, I think he was even with Maria before that. Then Swagger was hanging around him, then it looked like he was just about to break from Vickie and then AJ and Langston jump on his dick. I see a lot of similarities with HBK in Ziggler. I mean in Shawns first run with the company he had valet after valet from Janetty as a tag team to Sherri, to Diesel, to Lothario, then Chyna and HHH in DX etc. But we all know the success he got and how great he also was in his later years so I have some hope with Ziggler that EVENTUALLY he'll go single, probably face too.

What was the reason that the people were supposed to get behind him, other than the company just saying "phht, well, he's...in school".

It's always good to have someone to bounce things off of, especially when you aren't 100% there on the mic yet. Even just someone nodding along with what you're saying puts you over to the crowd. While HHH was pretty decent on the mic in 99-00, having Steph there to admire him like he's a modern god helped him out a lot.

Having a bodyguard is also good, cause you know the match can turn at any moment if they get involved. It creates even more unpredictability.

While I'm not a big fan of AJ as a valet or AJ's ongoing relationship stories, in character the Dolph & AJ thing makes perfect sense. The two of them aren't in a relationship. They're in a mutual, ongoing game of one-upmanship with John Cena. Dolph's invested in this dalliance for the bragging rights of having stolen John's lady friend. AJ is in it to get ongoing revenge against the man she perceives as having lead her on.

Their public makeouts don't have anything to do with mutual passion or desire -- they're a "so there, John Cena!" act. It's consistent with their characters, and not entirely unrealistic. As a bonus, it's short-lived by default. As soon as John Cena wins the rumble or some other challenge that puts him in line for a title shot, he's on to the next feud and Dolph & AJ can go on with their business.
