This is what I'm hoping for, and it would be a logical progression of the storyline from the last year. Punk screws over Rocky in their title match, Cena can win the rumble (I'd rather he not, but it seems somewhat likely) and then you have the impetus to set up a Mania triple threat.
Agreed. With the year Punk's had, he needs to be in a main-event title match with The Rock at Mania imo. I don't care to see Punk face Undertaker, or whatever other matches people have in mind for him. And as you say, it would be a logical progression of the storyline.
Ideally, I'd have Punk retain at the Rumble in some matter (Punk screws Rock, The Shield get involved etc) whatever as long as Punk keeps the title. Then I'd have Cena win a number one contenders Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber PPV , so he can be added to the Punk/Rock match at Mania to make it a epic triple threat. I don't think Cena should win the Rumble, and he doesn't need to, leave the Rumble win to summon who would benefit from that rub, like Ryback for example.
A guy who hasn't wrestled in 7 years beating the face of the company for past eight years and then beating the longest reigning champion since Hogan.
That's right?
I just hope Punk beats Rock at Royal Rumble and Austin(if he returns) at Wrestlemania/Retain the title against Undertaker by getting himself disqualified(Undertaker wins but Punk retains)

It has to be a big event. If the plan is for him to lose it in the coming months then perhaps at Wrestlemania in the main event. Him beating Rock at the Rumble would be huge.
Punk retains at Royal Rumble vs Rock via Shield interference, while Cena wins the Rumble.
Punk retains at EC vs Ryback, while Rock wins the EC match, getting a rematch at WM.
Cena uses his title shot to make it a 3 way at WM.
Punk retains at WM, crashing the SHIT out of this forum.

I love this idea sooooo much. Let's live in fantasy land for a bit, and say this actually does happen... I think if Punk were to beat Cena & Rocky in the main event of Wrestlemania, he's set for his career. In terms of storytelling, I'd be fine with that conculsion, but not as a fan who wants to see something different. I just think at this point they're better off trying something new than having Cena with the belt again, but what do I know?
Rocky should lose at RR bc its far to predictable and it will make his quest for the title grander cus its a real challenge and help make Punk look better. He should win it at the EC were Punk wont look weak if he looses it and its an interesting way for Rocky to win it

Hopefully Mania. I'll be there so it would be a huge moment for whoever takes the title off of him. Punk vs Taker would sound interesting but it would be predictable on the outcome.

I think he drops it before Wrestlemania but I'm not sure that it happens at the Rumble. I wouldn't be surprised if they held off til EC to give Rock the belt.
Streak v streak is a horrible idea and makes the title look like sh**. People like to complain about Rock winning the belt and not being full time but even he works 2x as much as Taker. Punk is not winning that match. There is a 0% chance that WWE will p*** away tens of millions of dollars by not having Cena v Taker for the streak. So now we're left with the scenario of Taker dropping the belt immediately after Mania benefitting no one.
Rock putting Cena over for the WWE Championship puts Cena over huge and it's something he really does need right now. The guy hasn't been champ for quite awhile.
