The knowing Punk personally thread, while turning into a joke thread, had a lot of great stories in it, here are some of my Punk stories that didn't make the cut:

1) He's my postman
2) I'm the caretaker for his swimming pool when he's on the road
3) He lives in my basement
4) I taught him everything he knows about wrestling
5) He was in my high school math class but he got kicked out for cheating off me.

Moral of the story: Everyone needs to laugh every once in a while.

Im not sure if this has been mentioned. (Lazy on my part!)

But I agree with the OP, this is a good idea and it COULD work.

Del Rio was very popular in mexico with his high flying moves. He also wore a mask. So why not have him injured by the shield, then have him return a few months later with a new attire, with a luchador mask.

Have him attack the shield then take of his mask and smile at the crowd.

Face turn, complete!

I think they may try to turn ADR like they did Eddie Guerrero..Keep the gimmick but make it comedic for the fans..I mean Ricardo is already in that role sort of..
