Was Raw more risque last night?
Did it seem to you all like WWE might be testing the waters for adding in some of the more salacious stuff from the old days? Things like the Vickie sketch with Hornswoggle and Khali, and Miz's insinuations against the Rhodes Scholars seemed more racy than we usually see on WWE. Add in the whole AJ in the men's room bit and the very 90s run-in ending. . .
You see where I am going with this, right?

Did you forget about the Muppets?

Frankly, the Muppet presence was so low-key that I did forget about them. Having said that, I did like the Raw where they were on the program. I thought the sketches were pretty cute.

Re: Was Raw more risque last night?
I heard the word 'fuck' and 'bullshit', clearly unedited and ignored this past week on TNA. I'd hardly call the Muppets risque in comparison.

If that wasn't live and TNA didn't edit it, I would genuinely believe that it was only left in so TNA would look more risque. If it was live, I've heard the word Pricks on a kids TV show at 9am.
I did, however, think Raw was a bit more than usual, solely for the Hornswoggle/Khali/Vickie thing. It was a blatant spit roast and Vince joke made light of it. I don't want to see that.

No, it's not the return of the Attitude Era.
Sorry.

Re: Was Raw more risque last night?
no, i don't see where you're going with this. If anything last night's raw was kinda lame and back to usual. The mic work overall sucked this week, same thing we've heard them say many times already. and the matches were matches we've already seen many times before, whether they were good matches or not, i couldn't bother watching cause there was simply no reason to.

That's not edgy, though. That's just tacky.

Trust. I'm the last person who would be excited about the return of the AE - the AE is why I stopped watching, the last time. I'm just saying that I feel like there's a little boundary pushing in the dialogue recently.
I'm not quite sure if I like it, either.

Re: Was Raw more risque last night?
I thought that sex joke with Vickie was pretty saucy for a "family show", as Vince put it.
Hey, I'm not complaining. I'm always happy to see some adult content, that joke flew right over the little brats heads.

Re: Was Raw more risque last night?
I can't say where the product will ultimately go, but that Vickie/Hornswoggle/Khali segment really caught me off guard. The little Vince bit at the end kinda made me laugh, but overall it wasn't necessarily a forgettable segment. Overall I was humored by it.
For me, personally, it seems like ever since Linda's failed senate run Vince has been loosening the creative binds a bit. However one can't just turn one thing into another instantly and have it be believable. I just think that Vince is trying his best to slowly transition the product more into something that everyone can like rather than just something the kids will like. To those who think that the product is stale, just give it time.
