Re: Daniel Bryan's promise to The Rock

He's supposed to say that as a competitor. I mean yeah we all know it's going to be Punk but they need to create an atmosphere where anyone could be champ by then. Basic storyline progression.

I think there's a better chance of the Israelis and Palestinians joining hands and singing Kumbayah than there is of Bryan facing Rock at Rumble.

I like the people in this thread that pretend it wouldn't be a great match

Re: Daniel Bryan's promise to The Rock

Rock vs Bryan could work but only if WWE carefully booked and make him legit the guy who able to counter his opponent move and could beat them or make them tap out...telling me Bryan is nobody? Daniel Bryan is one most over guy at WM and on RAW after WM until now. people give a fuck about him that's why he so over until now.

i said before, WWE should have booked Bryan going in as Champion drop it to Rock and Rock lose it to Punk at WM.

beside Punk-Cena who the guy could face ROck even when WWE book it perfectly? Sheamus? Del Rio? Randy Orton?

Re: Daniel Bryan's promise to The Rock

They booked AJ to be superior to Bryan, they'd never have him work a match with Rock and Rock wouldn't do the match because Bryan is way too low on the totem pole to be worth his time on a PPV card. The fact also remains Bryan is not even headliner level over, he's pure and utter midcard over at this point. Not a single fan in the buildings believes he's anything resembling "the guy" as shown by how these fans have far, far more faith in a goof like Ryback.

I do have one question for anyone who might feel that Dwayne Johnson "owes" the business. Is it just him, or is it anyone who moved on to other things? Should Luna Vachon get heat for running a towing company instead of working on RAW? Should Maven be critiqued on his Home Shopping Network bits instead of wrestling?

Or is it only the ones who go on to highly visible careers in movies that owe something? Why do Johnson (who left after putting people over, doing the traditionally "right thing") and Lesnar (who did not; except for making Eddie a legitimate star) get called sell-outs who "forgot where they came from" when someone who retires to do some regular job get credit (as they should) for moving on and making it without falling into a sea of addiction?

Re: Daniel Bryan's promise to The Rock

I'm surprised that Rocky's coming back to face Punk, who really isn't worth his time star-power wise. Cena, Taker, HHH, HBK, and Lesner are the only matches he should be doing.
