Yeah but Sandow can't do the arm pump taunt that Cesaro does...

Re: Antonio Cesaro = The Next Breakout Star?

He's great in the ring but that doesn't mean shit in WWE unfortunately. He's gotta connect with the fans in the arena first and foremost and he hasn't done that at all yet. Say what you want about Ryback but he's over and HAS a connection with the fans (people actually chant FEED ME MORE).

I really hope a Daniel Bryan-like thing happens to him. I didn't give two shits about Daniel Bryan (even though I acknowledged how good he was in the ring) for the longest time but eventually he got over with the "YES!" chants and started cutting hilarious promos. Hopefully this happens with Cesaro but at the moment, he's a little boring character-wise but he is better now than when he first started (those 5 languages translations were doing nothing for him).

Currently a fan of: Daniel Bryan, The Shield, Damien Sandow, Dolph Ziggler, CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Ryback, Eve, AJ Lee

Cesaro is one of the few reasons I look forward to shows. Hopefully he can excel in the future and connect more with the crowd.

I watch his matches. And that says alot because I am lately only watching segments that involve Punk. Cesaro is new and entertaining in the ring. If he tunes up his character and shows his true mic skills he will be fine.

Re: Antonio Cesaro = The Next Breakout Star?

This dude is awesome. I have been so impressed with him since his breakup with Askana. Every week he gives us a "Wow" moment and that's what I like to see from the wrestlers now. He still has long ways to go before he has a legit character but I'm sure he will get there.

Chrono's Current Fave 5 (Active stars only):
1. John Cena
2. Dean Ambrose
3. Randy Orton
4. Seth Rollins
5. AJ Lee

Re: Antonio Cesaro = The Next Breakout Star?

His in ring work is superb but him not using the Swiss Death as his finisher is what makes me shake my head at how "fake" wrestling really is.

Ill admit Ive never seen him outside of WWE, but the first time I saw him give someone the Swiss Death uppercut I literally shouted HOLY SHIT. And no moves have made me say that in the WWE in many many years. No its not the first uppercut move in history but the way he does it is absolutely sick.

The fact that people get up from that in the kayfabe world makes me shake my head. You can get uppercut in the jaw after jumping from the top rope and get up but it takes the Neutralizer to finish people off.

The Neutralizer is an awesome display of raw power and it really helps his profile of being probably the strongest pound for pound wrestler in WWE. But Swiss Death just "looks" like it will legitimately kill you.

Just keep both as legit finishers. Use Swiss Death for anyone he can pick up and toss in the air or catch from the top rope and use the Neutralizer for bigger guys.

Re: Antonio Cesaro = The Next Breakout Star?

i love how he keeps using his signature euro uppercut in a different way every match. he does something that suck ass cena doesn't do after all these years of being #1 and that's changing things up a little every time on tv to keep it fresh. he's not great on the mic and his character isn't that good, but in the ring he's a beast and the breakout star of 2012 in the wwe.

They have far more personality, compared to Cesaro who's completely wooden, especially Sandow who is approaching CM Punk levels of greatness.
What is this greatness are we talking about here exactly?

Re: Antonio Cesaro = The Next Breakout Star?

Out of all the big men on the current roster, I've to say that he's definitely my favorite by far. He can definitely go in the ring. But his character and mic skills need work. If he has the backing of the bookers/the higher ups in the back, then he can go very far.
