This is partially inspired by his recent tweets...
For those who haven't seen them:
@cmpunk: Yes, I will be on @AMCTalkingDead on Sunday. Shocking how WWE didn't promote it or get AMC the proper materials in time to announce it.
@cmpunk: I will also be the Grand Marshall in the Chicago turkey day parade. Also not announced or promoted by "my" company.
@cmpunk: This is what happens when you go over everyone's head to hustle and acquire your own outside appearances. #DIY
@cmpunk: Was promoted on Monday. Wasn't Sunday night when it was supposed to be. Ball dropped. S'okay. I'll pick it up and score like I always do.
He's right. I've seen people on this site talk about Punk being in the parade and being involved with The Walking Dead but WWE didn't...at all. Why would they not support outside appearances by their champion? They had a commercial for that ridiculous "The Soup" (whatever that is) that will feature WWE guys but showed Punk no love.
Let's not say its because he's a heel either. Miz did TV shows as a heel and WWE supported it, so whatsamatta with them not supporting #Team366?
Re: Is it just me...or does WWE still not support CM Punk?
It's just to further the #Respect angle...
Watch your favorite super heroes...... and Super Cena on Saturday Mornings!!! Only on the CW Network!
Websters Dictionary definition Super Cena (n):
1. To mislead the audience that the character is an underdog. John Cena got DDT'd on the concrete, hit in the back with a chair, then put thru the Spanish announce table. However, all is that is for naught because he switched into Super Cena and no sold all of that, to win the match. (credit: Scott Trahan)
2. Humiliated more than three forths of the match only to come back and win with five moves of doom. Super Cena emerged from the ashes and won the fight after being brutally beaten down to a bloody pulp
3. Alter ego of a Superhero. Unstoppable. Exception: See The Rock.
Maybe because he booked the appearances himself, whereas Miz was on company business?
I thought about that....but the company would still know wouldn't they? Even if you didn't have a commercial it could have been worked into his celebration promo, Michael Cole or Jerry Lawler could have said something...hell anything.
At first I thought maybe they did but I missed it. Because I saw a topic on here last week talking about Punk and Walking Dead so it seems like if its knowledge marks have then the company has it too.
I also considered that he's lying...lol which he might be and thus why I'm asking you all.
Punk booked it himself because last time he notified them about an outside company having an interest in him making an appearance WWE nixxed it and gave the opportunity to Triple H who you know, really really needed the promotion.
Remember when his friend Sonnen wanted him to walk out with him at UFC?
