Support and being champion are two different things. As champion, especially babyface champion, why wasn't Punk highlighted for doing Make A Wish projects? John Cena isn't the ONLY one that does them. John Cena is also not the ONLY person that wants to fight breast cancer and who has main evented PPVs over the WWE champion? You guessed it John Cena!
The illusion of change is not change. Punk has the belt, but not the company's support. Sheamus has been given more credit for charity work and public appearances than Punk has and Punk is a bigger star than him.
I would understand if Punk was a recluse like Undertaker or if he didn't want to do the little extras but he does that stuff too, he should have been better promoted as the face champion of the company. Now as the heel champion....maybe that's a workable excuse but Miz did public appearances too as a heel.
Bottom line: WWE should jump at any chance to do some publicity. They could use the help. It shouldn't matter if it was Kofi Kingston on the Food Network they should be on top of it, if for no other reason that to help their brand.
