I can just tell by CM Punk's body language and demeanor that he still has contempt for the company he works for. Even with a year long title run he's still bitter towards the WWE. I don't think he's ever been able to move past the fact that the WWE thought very little of him when he first arrived -- hence the chip still being on his shoulder. When he does promos with John Cena it's painfully obvious that Punk has very little respect for Cena. Also, I'm not sure if many of you caught this on RAW: CM Punk -- during his promo -- mentioned "moving forward" and when he said "forward" he looked directly up at the ramp. In case you didn't know Punk was an Obama supporter and I'm sure his "forward" comment was directed towards the WWE because we know Vince/Linda are Republicans.
WWE supports Punk, otherwise they wouldn't have kept the belt on him this long. But I will say that WWE has issues with Punk. It's similar to a head coach disliking one of his star players attitude but puts up with it because he performs. I honestly don't think this relationship will go on for many more years... I see a big break up on the horizon.
Punk booked it himself because last time he notified them about an outside company having an interest in him making an appearance WWE nixxed it and gave the opportunity to Triple H who you know, really really needed the promotion.
Remember when his friend Sonnen wanted him to walk out with him at UFC?
But WWE said no.
And had Triple H do it instead?
Trips never walked Sonnen to the ring. I think you're referring to the Mayweather fight where he walked him out and that wasn't even meant to happen. Trips was just there to watch the fight and Floyd asked him to walk out since they're buddies and all that. He said it in an interview not too long ago.
On the one hand, if you go booking things on your own without the company behind you then you can hardly expect them to promote it. On the other hand though, if your stars are actually able to book appearances on other things then why wouldn't you roll with that and help promote it? I can see both sides but it's all just a bit silly to me.

Why wouldn't he have respect for Cena? He's constantly saying that Cena is his favourite opponent in WWE when he's at Q&A's and so on.
I can't understand why WWE didn't see this as a great opportunity. TWD is one of shows that is most watched and most talked about, CM Punk being on it will help the WWE out some.
My belief, Vince lives in his own little world where WWE is the only show that people watch and it is the biggest show ever. That is why he refuses to change the product, he won't push indy guys that weren't breed in nxt (rollins and ambrose are HHH guys) and as Cena put it he is losing his touch.
Because CM Punk is a big star that also means he is untouchable. Vince can't do anything about it if he gets another booking because it would look bad for the company. Had it been a mid-carder that got a booking on TTD(right it is the talking dead this week?) and went over Vince's head you bet he would get a 'good luck in your future endeavors' when it comes time to clean house coming soon.
If CM Punk was really pissed off then he should be announced on Talking Dead and at the parade as Phil Brooks, or CM Punk but no mention of wwe. Because wwe promotes neither of those ventures, than those ventures should make no mention of the wwe.
As for the Raw 365 day celebration - that might have been the worst "celebration" ever. Three posterboard photo blow-ups and Heyman cutting a promo putting you over.
I think the relationship between Punk and WWE is good, but Punk gets pissed off at how some things are done. You have a multi-million dollar company and they have little screw-ups like these that shouldn't be happening. I suspect Vince and the wwe doesn't know how popular The Walking Dead is.
I like Punk hell hes my number 2 guy but i just get the impression he is never happy, always wanting more and more and more, always thinking the world is against him etc but never fully appreciating what he has, i am not implying he dos not deserve it as he seems to work hard throughout his life to get to where he is just now, but so has basically everyone else. I dont usually mind Punks rant but day after day it starts to grate on me a bit, try making shoes in india for 10 hours a day to collect 50p at the end of your day. #priorities

That is because CM Punk, the character, is a heel. Not because head office does not like Phillip Brooks. The tweets were sent out from his official account, because they are in-character as CM Punk.
Tweets and touts sometimes exist in that liminal state between Punk and Phil, but mostly I accept anything about 'the company' is from Punk.
